  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What did you use your Becker for today

Today I used it (BK2) to ...
* slice an apple
* remove some unwanted shrubbery from a hunting location
* to point at a weird frog or perhaps toad that shared another hunting location with me for an hour or two this morning:

p.s. in the cup, that's some hot Tang. Tastes good, warms one up and doesn't dehydrate a person like coffee will. Yeah yeah. You just wish you thought of it first.

I stripped the blade of my 11 today, and installed micarta scales on my wifes 14.
Nice Pic Captain.

How about the recipe for these? They look awesome.

I didn't have a can of tomato paste but tossed it together anyway. I did them in a slow cooker on low and they were awesome. Very close to traditional Boston baked, which I like a lot. I almost always go easy on the brown sugar as I don't like them sweet. This batch came out much darker than they appeared in the pic. Firm and tasty. I chopped up a bit of bacon into the mix at the beginning and the beans soaked in water over night before cooking. I can't stop eating them after a batch is made !

I used my BK11 yesterday to cut some string and open a package of Rice Ramon noodles for lunch. Today I used it to cut up some cheddar cheese to go with some crackers and soup.

Thanks a lot upnorth. I love baked beans and these look great!!!

Normally id use the bk5 for this, but i LOVE and missed the crewman so it got dinner detail tonight. I used my crewman to slice up a perfectly cooked/season lemon and garlic pork loin.

I used the BK14 to open two packages that arrived from ups today....

one containing a Spyderco Tenacious to replace one that I had given away to a co-worker that helped me out..

and another one containing a new od Izula II....oh, the addiction, uh,...I mean hobby just keeps spreading like an out of control weed.

Today was a pretty lazy day for me. I was hanging out with the girlfriend at her apartment and made some BBQ pulled chicken while she was at her night class. Here are some pictures I took while cooking.

This is a picture of the my girlfriend and I (new around here so it could help place a face to the name)

I usually just throw the chicken in the slow cooker with some barbeque sauce and throw it on low then pull it apart once it’s done cooking. However this time I thought I would cut it up first to cut down on the time it takes to pull it all apart (it also gives me another reason to use my Becker :) )

Sorry I forgot to take pictures of it once it was done. I guess the smell of food distracted me. Anyhow this is what I used my Becker for today.

Ok I will be good :). Welcome and thats a nice looking GF and knife.
