What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

Used my brand new small 21 to open a bag of birdseed to refill my backyard feeder.

update: Further Uses: used the spine to pop open a beer, converted a much loved but too worn pair of jeans into Jorts.

Broke up some boxes for recycling, opened a package, opened WAY too much "Back mail" that accumulated while I was in the hospital (I'm OK now), 90% of which went right through the shredder, cut one stamp out of a book to send as reply postage, cut the steak on the BBQ to check for done-ness (it was), got washed 2x (before steak, after steak), it got stropped (after boxes/mail). It had a busy day

Cut a sausage roll into bight sized pieces.
Cut some twine on some bales of hay.
Dug a stone out of the sole of my boot.

My newly accquired Tanto Sebenza rode shotgun to my New Damascus Mnandi. They did manage to pose for a pic though :D

Last night we had a braai. So I cut some plastic to get the meat out. Cut some meat for tasting, cut some bread, spread some butter, cut more meat for the bread.....and then a girl said ooo that knife looks nice so I gave her a look.....and she said it must be sharp and she went along the edge....ouch. clean cut so the seb had a finger for supper also! One thing that I love about clean cuts are you apply pressure and it seals itself much quicker.

Got caught on the ski slopes with very few tools. I had done a hot wax job on our skis, and left on the excess, hoping that warmup runs would wear this off clean before my daughter's slalom race. It wasn't happening fast enough, and the only straight piece of material I had on me was on my Sebenza. Minutes before the race, I used one of the Ti handle slabs as a scraper to clear off the excess wax.

My small Sebenza sliced my "everything" bagel and then it was put to work spreading cream cheese. Yesterday morning, it was used to cut a homemade cinnamon roll into bite sized pieces. Light work for a Sebenza, but VERY important to me.

Will be a hard choice on which to carry tomorrow!

STICF

Absolutely nothing, because I'm at a conference in Boston, and the last thing I want is to run afoul of a 2.5" blade law and lose my precious.

Bah.

(My small Spydercos are filling in.)

This morning I used my small regular to open a new pack of blue mountain
coffee beans, a pack of dry dog food and cut a heap of 550 cord for lanyards.

Not so much a "use" as much of a "What the heck?" moment:
I was practising an urban prone drill involving diving down onto my gun side, and being right handed, my Sebenza was clipped in a knife pocket on my right side. Getting up from the drill, I found (to my shock) that the clip was bent open at a 30 degree angle from the frame. Bent it back with a pair of pliers, after removing it from the frame, but I'm still confused as to how it got there.

Anyhow, I do need to shave, so perhaps tomorrow I'll be able to put my Sebenza up for that task.

I cut up some ol' salt pork and onions to cook up in a nice pot of beans that I'll be cooking for dinner, along with some barbeque that has yet to meet my Sebbie...:D

The tax man was good to me, so I plan to pickup a few fine cigars. Nothing is more fitting than using a fine Sebenza to trim a fine cigar. Can't wait.

I did not use the seb last night.......it used itself... as I was getting out of the car the clip cought on the edge of my seat...... the clip ripped open the seat....not much but I heard the ripping....

Is picking your nose a recommended use for the Sebenza?

Depends if it's BG42 or S30V (you wouldn't want to risk chipping the edge). ;) :D

Used my large 21 to make a sammich (and, before you ask, it was nowhere near my nostrils beforehand...) :p :D
