What did youe ESEE do this weekend?

Uzed my Izula in the back yard cutting off branches from my fig tree. Worked great and was still sharp after about 30mins of cutting.

Looks like not only are we united around the love of great knives and a great company, most who posted share the love of the great outdoors. For those who were not able to get out into the woods, it sounds like they put their knives to good use in and around the home.

After chain-sawing an old tree, I used the ESEE Machete to hack off the branches.

Most in the 1 1/2" to 2" diameter. Smaller branches needed only one "WHACK", but some other took 4-5 when I did my part :D

It's an awesome tool.

Used my Junglas to clear honey locust and staghorn sumac off a slope for a friend so I could help her harvest cattails.

My H.E.S.T helped me make a ESEE geocaching travel bug today

My ESEE-4 processed a boat load of fire wood. I split every piece of wood I put on the fire, and the fire burned all night long! :D

This is an after action shot:

Can't wait for next weekend, if things go as planned I'll actually get to do it all over again!

Battoned wood for a fire (in the rain) - my buddy kept saying "we should just go borrow an axe", but he never moved once I started chopping. Cut a chunk of fatwood off, opened various food items. Then came home on Monday to my new Izula and Lite Machete. Wrapped the Izula handle (look, ma, no blood!), and touched up the edge on the 'chete.

My new esee4 's first time out of the house. Into the centre console of the truck - I was heading down to the 'mean' streets of the big city...you never know...happy to say I never touched it.
