Posted a thread over in Traditional about some of my EDCs--a number of slipjoints that I picked up in the past year or so. Got me to wondering what some of the Busse fans over here tend to carry day-in, day-out. Be kind of interesting to see the range of EDCs.

Lately for me, it's either a nice stockman (usually Queen, Case, or Schatt & Morgan) or another excellent slipjoint--the Spyderco UK Penknife. When I head outdoors (or to a rougher part of town), I usually slip a Spyderco Para-Military in my pocket if I'm not carrying a fixed blade.

What do you EDC? Busse fixed blade? Something else?

Rat doesn't have to answer. I know he's EDC'ing his AK-47 now. :D

I am ashamed to admit that my EDC (and it really is EVERY DAY) is a little Benchmade 3100 Automite. The DOE gets cranky about large folders and fixed blades (I was told my HAK was an "assault knife", whatever that is) in nuclear facilities. Out around town, I usually also carry another BM, the 630 Skirmish. I also have a TK-1 from Tom Krein attached to my truck keys (I ride the bus to work).

Now that I have this cool new Combat Recruit, I think I'll ask LeatherHog to build me a B.A.D.A.S.S. for it and use it instead of the Skirmish.
 
My EDC is a Busse Satin Active Duty!

When I know I need a folder, I carry a Microtech Socom Manual Tanto.

I carry 3 folding knives with me all the time, everywhere:

1) Benchmade McHenry and Williams axis lock folder - 3 3/4 inch ATS-34 blade (have the Swamprat folder on order)
2) Leatherman Wave
3) small Victorinox with toothpick and tweezers

4) For field work (about 4 days per week, I carry a fixed-blade as well
I like largish field knives, which are only intermediate size in the Busse world: I now alternate Busse SJTAC (thanks "Mrkurtz") and Busse HR for field work, and have just added a BM-E (thanks "Rat Finkenstein") about 4 days per week and on weekends.
 
My EDC is my AK-47 (dreamer. I don't even own one).

Seriously though this piglet usually EDCs his BA-E.
 
I carry a leatherman wave on belt horizontaly and a spyderco delica in side my waste belt or buckle area, :thumbup:
 
I work in an office so I have to keep the EDC small. I use one of several; a Reeve's Mnandi, Spyderco Kopa or Kiwi and sometimes an old Benchmade Mini AFCK.

On weekends it all depends on what I'm up to, but I wouldn't have a fixed blade with me unless I'm heading out of San Francisco.
 
my Benchmade model 5000 automatic is on me 23 1/2 hours a day,,,I even sleep with it on me,,, the 30 minutes of shower time is the only time it isnt on me.

most of the time i'll carry a Swiss Army knife also.
 
During the week one of these 3: public defender, Strider SMF-R, Spyder lil temperance, or Al Mar Sere 2000. A lot of times I opt for a folder, but when doing stuff in the field carry a SJT.
 
My main EDC is a Scott Cook Lochsa (still waiting for the Busse folder to replace it), sometimes a Mayo TNT or a small D.B. Fraley flipper. I keep a Busse HD with a Leatherman sheath handy in the truck for tougher tasks.

I'm currently EDC'n a run-of-the-mill BM 551 and a Vicy Ranger for the small stuff. Around the house I tote my lil HR for my day to day cutting chores..

As soon as "THEE FOLDER" shows up, that BM is going straight into the junk drawer, never to see the light of day again... :rolleyes:
 
I'm in the same boat as Spydie, mostly in the office so mine is usually a small Browning Featherweight. Otherwise it's a BM Mini-Grip.
 
6 days a week I carry 2 knives -- one fixed and one folder.

Fixed rotation includes: David Winston model 5 (damascus/african blackwood) ; SR Safari Skinner in d2; Busse MS proto infi (newly aquired :D ).

Folder Rotation: CRK small sebenza w/african blackwood inlays or CRK large sebenza.

(roughly 1 day a week I have to "tuck" my shirt, on that day only 1 folder :grumpy: -- one of the sebbies)

I usually carry a 6 tool sak and sometimes a benchmade CQC 7, but I also carry a desert camp tramp and a leatherman PST2 in my day pack. Sometimes I carry a smaller fixed bled like my bandicoot or F1 in the pack as well. When my new Mud Razor gets here though, its gonna be on me for a while...:)

Umm, where did you get that "Busse Satin Active Duty"?:confused:
 
My EDC rotation includes:
An early samll sebenza
Spyderco Paramilitary
AG Russell featherlite
Bark River Mini canadian
And a GT california legal auto always on my keychain.
 
Let's see... there's always a SRKW Howling Rat in BB kydex tucked away in my EDC bag. Yeah, I gotta man-purse too. There's a little Vic Recruit on my keychain.

The pocket folder sorta runs the gamut depending on whether it's khakis or cargo's for work, jeans or cargo shorts for weekend: BM 630 Skirmish, 732 Ares, 940, 921 Switchback, Manix, Merlin, Calypso Jr., or a MT Amphibian.
 
Superknife 2 and CRKT M-21, everywhere at all times.
+ Leatherman Wave or Charge xti for fishing and work
+ ST Ripper EDC for ALL outdoor activities.
