What Do HOGs and Piglets EDC ?

...Got me to wondering what some of the Busse fans over here tend to carry day-in, day-out...

Well, the simple truth is that 9 out of 10 Busse devotees EDC a folder of some sort or another. This is primarily because folders are easy to carry, and because many of us live in places where we could get arrested for carrying a knife that wasn't a folder. ;)

This also explains (as Walking Man has so subtly alluded to :D ) why a small but rabid group of us has been beating the crap out of Jerry for six years now (at least) to have him make a folder for us. :D Supposedly, and I stress supposedly, a prototype was created. But that was news as of about three years ago. What's transpired since, I couldn't say. However, I'm fairly certain that locating this prototype today would require the combined efforts of Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Nicholas Cage in National Treasure and Tom Hanks in The DaVinci Code. ;)

BTW, in case any of you other hogs are getting any funny ideas, I'm still the 44th person in line when the folder does come out- and I have a notarized copy of Andy Prisco's folder preorder list (ca. 2000) to prove it. :D

I an not a Hog yet, but I do own a few Rats. I carry a Victorinox tinker, bm551, and Spyderco Chinook or Manix (the spydercos alternate the others are every single day)

I carry almost every day my Busse HD in a great sheath made by PiterM - on my belt with the handle down or with IWB. If I go to a place this knife is too big - I take my Benchmade Activator. I do not like folders.

Folders: rotation between Benchmade 9053, Benchmade 710 PS or Emerson Commander BT, cold steel 5" clip or tanto voyager, or BM 705 on the left pocket

Tool: Leatherman Charge/Surge or Juice XE6 (depends on the dresss code)

Basic 9 on the car

At work I carry a small Gerber Gatot Mate and a Cold Steel San Mai tanto folder.

At home and on the street I carry a TAN Meaner Street and or a black Skeleton Key or a satin/snakeskin Game Warden.

In the woods I carry a Bandicootand or M6 and/or the MrS.

Just too many sheeple at work for me to 'loan' them one of my good blades:p

Weekdays - Leatherman Wave ; Weekends - Busse Battle Mistress. Ratweiler is always in the truck.

If I may be so bold to ask, how was the folder proto? 3" 4" 5" drop point, clip, tanto, liner lock, frame lock, lockback handle material etc...
It goes without saying that if Jerry Busse builds a folder they will be all gone in less than a day.:D

I believe you'd only be able to answer those questions if your last name is Busse, or if you're a direct descendant of a Knight Templar. We mere mortals have no business knowing such things. ;)

For several years, it was either a MS, AD, or, SHBA in a crossdraw rig along with a large classic Sebbie on the strong side.

Since Wilma last year, the SHBA and the Sebbie has been the only thing on my belt.

The Sebbie is the only folder I own and perhaps the ONLY one I will own @ age 58 if Jerry doesn't get in gear.... SOON!!!!!!!

The SHBA is actually 3 that include 2, 5/16" twins in INFI, that I can't tell apart anymore and a 1/4" slotted bolt when I want to travel light. LOL

This is what's on my belt, not what I may have in the truck or workbag, usually larger Rats or Busse's.
