What do I name this knife?

Because of the skulls in the burl:

Seraphim

"The name seraphim clearly indicates their ceaseless and eternal revolution about Divine Principles, their heat and keenness, the exuberance of their intense, perpetual, tireless activity, and their elevative and energetic assimilation of those below, kindling them and firing them to their own heat, and wholly purifying them by a burning and all-consuming flame; and by the unhidden, unquenchable, changeless, radiant and enlightening power, dispelling and destroying the shadows of darkness"

I like that name. It sounds badass.

Traditional: 4" drop point hunter ... or ... 4" spear point hunter

Alternative: Four Inches of Stiff Pleasure (or... maybe you save this for a 7" knife... ;) )

Four angry inches?

A nod to the old Supergroup, Cream: "My Dull Surprise" (the lyric is actually "Dawn Surprise")

Thanks. The description of seraphim almost sounds like the forging process to me, too. I noticed the burl first, the blue liners, and the lines that it forms with the tang and the handles. For some reason it I think of purity and power, something Seraphim wholly represent.

And it is a badass name. Very powerful...

Everything I have to name has a meaning. I have a pet python and named her hermes because of the god's messenger hermes and his cadicious (staff with two serpents). I like greek mythology so.... but that definately sounds sweet. JK Seraphim.

Seraphim is a good name. But is that not the plural of seraph A seraph being one of the angels standing in the presence of the deity and at the top of the celestial hierarchy. A gaggle of seraphs being a seraphim. Or am I mistaken?

The Seraph itself is a good name. Keep in mind that, in terms of angels, they are at the top of the pecking order. A weighty name should go to a proven blade.

Mac. I can't believe no one's used this. "Mac the Knife".

William, Simon, Sarah, Destiny, Bob, and thats if for names of people, if that's what you want, choose a name that has meaning to you?

lets name it the way many companies do for their knives

Custom 01 carbon steel blade 5/32" thick with a 4" long blade, 5"handle, 9" overall

hehe, wait till someone asks for you knife's name. that'll be a mouthful

or Aceraceae01 the handle is made from maple burl, which the maple family's full latin name is Aceraceae, and the blade is 01.
