what do most of you carry your keys?

A sheath is a great idea, I just carry them in my right front, wallet in my left front and knife in my right reat or IWB right rear.

Well, I couldn't figure out how to just attach a JPEG but I linked to Photobucket... :p

If I've done this right, you are looking at my latest, done with black stitching, with a Wegner Pro Hunter inside (used to hold the Kasper but I restitched it) along with older ones using monofiliment holding an AFCK Axis Lock and an G-10 ATS 34 from Kershaw. Along with, for eye candy, a CUDA Maxx, CRKT Kasper and a Spiderco Military, all of which have been carried in these sheaths... These things aren't art, but they've worked for me for years.

I carry my Benchmade 921 clipped on front right pocket, my wallet and keychain (car key, Princton Tec Pulsar, Leatherman Micra) in left front pocket, and my Peak in my watch pocket. I don't think it would work if I had much more on my keychain though.

Hey Abe, check around,my wallet chain has a key ring clip on it already, came that way. if you check around some leather shops, you might can find just a chain for sale for cheap. Or one of the better hardware stores, around the key-maker ? Mine is clipped to the swivel on the belt side of the chain. Just my .02 Marty

hey, Marty. yeah, i've done this a few times, but somehow i'm very nervous about my keys hanging outside of my pockets. i always "wuss out" and put them back in my pocket.

truth of the matter is, most of the time this isn't a problem. i'll clip my Endura to my right front pocket, then my Kiwi goes in left rear pocket (along with my bandana). my "stupid, annoying, wish-i-didn't-have-to-carry-it" cell phone rides in my left front pocket, and wallet goes in right rear pocket. everything has it's spot.

but when i carry a large folder like my Maxx (or i soon want to pick up an XL or X2 Voyager, or a 630 Skirmish), it's a problem.

Drider, nice work! i like that. you got me thinking....

I change me key arrangement that my "chains" have developed multiple personalities of their own.
Great thread.
As I have mentioned before, I just can't get this situation under control. Either I have too much to carry, not enough to carry, or the problem as to where to carry!
I'll keep checking with you fellows and maybe somebody will have a the proverbial "bright idea"!

Ditto. You've stated my situation exactly. Right now I'm keeping my TWO massive keychains in my two coat pockets.

One holds my car keys, RES-Q-ME, nail clipper, Gerber LST Micro, Ultimate Survival Jet Scream whistle, and the Scout model firesteel and striker from Survival Sheath Systems, all attached to a polymer keyfob.

The other "keychain" holds my my house key, mailbox key, key to my wife's car, key to my work, the Army model firesteel and striker, and mini-Bic in a sheath from Survival Sheath Systems, all attached to a woven paracord keyfob.

These keychains are so heavy they must reside in coat or jacket pockets. They'd tear through anything else.

I carry my keys tucked into my left side waistband on an ASP keydefender. The keys, prybaby and security fob hang out over the waistband/belt but the length of the kuboton anchors them well and I have had no problem even with considerable movement. The keys are easy to get to as is the kuboton. Less stuff to keep in my pockets and totally sheeple friendly. I actually walked thru airport security like this, the guard lifted my keys and passed me right thru, nver looking at what was keeping them in place.

I also carry my keys inside my waistband, left side hanging from an "S" shaped steel clip, I have 14 keys on three rings attached to a fourth ring on the clip, my t-shirts get worn from the friction, but for some reason I have never had wear on the inside of my pants.

Airport security let you through with a prybaby?

I keep an 806D2 in my left pocket and my keys on a ring with my Streamlight Batonlight in my right pocket. No knife damage and slim and the twins stay happy too.

everything in separate pockets for me. i can't stand it when things rub against each other. keys either go in weak (right) side front pocket or right jacket pocket.

now that i've got my 806d2, it seems to ride perfectly in my front right pocket along with my keys. that's sweet.

Beware those small clips, like Vindicated posted a pic of. I have a couple of the two smallest sizes, and they seemed like a great idea to me, since I have several sets of keys, but only want to carry the necessities (I don't need keys to the church, keys for work, keys to friends' houses every day). They work fine when you clip them onto a large keyring, but when you clip them to something with a very thin splitring it will invariably come off after you move around some. After almost losing my Arc AAA-P, and having a Vnox Classic come off in my pocket several times, I still use them, but not for small individual items. The smallest size will not clip onto a large keyring, but will quickly detach itself from a small one, so it is pretty much useless.

Anybody good with a digital camera and show us examples of your key set-up, please.
Mine bug me every day. It is now becoming an obsession :(

I'm going to have to drag out my digital, take a picture of my two keyrings, and post them somewhere.

I hate to day it, but mine is bigger than yours. If I fall into a river I'm going right to the bottom. :(

I carry in my left front pocket a schrade old timer 3 blade, my keys (which consists of one of those things that lets you separate them into two keyrings, all my keys (which is a bunch) photon 2, P-38 and a craftsman 4 way screwdriver). In right front is a thing of Carmex, 50 cent piece, any other loose change and my EDC (Kershaw mdl 2420T) clipped to top of pocket. Chain wallet is in right hand back pocket and in left hand back pocket is Doug Ritter PSK, Eze-Lap diamond hone and a bandanna. On my belt is my Zippo leather case with my Zippo in it. The keys being on my left hand pocket isn't a bother to me as thats where i have carried them since i began driving and I don't worry too much about the Schrade knife being hurt.
