What do Strider models stand for?

Hey, a manufacturer can name its product "Dog Poop" for all I care. If it's a good knife, I'll buy it anyway.
I've got one of their later models, with the 5" blade: The Big Dog Poop. Lost the box, but still have the sheath. Marked "1st Production Run" if you're interested in trading. :p geegee

OK OK Mick I take it all back. I was totally off the mark calling you on the glued AR's And GB's
I guess thats why you corrected the problem and don't use 3m glue to hold together the new AR GB TAC Models!!!!

Was I right or was I just a BALLSACK????

Now since I have your attention I am also sorry for revealing the true names behind the model designators. SnG and DB and GS for example....

Please I don't want you to kill my family or stab me at the next knife show in the head/neck/or the back!

PLEASE MR. Strider accept my humble sorry.

and if I had $550.00 plus $15.00 for shipping I really would get me one of those MARSUC ooppps MARSOC folders!!!!

Just another reason I won't EVER buy a Strider.

Hey, cool, more for the rest of us. :D
Such petty irrational decisions show the truth of character.
Petty irrational people dont deserve good knives anyway. :p

Glock uses *gasp* number-only designations for their firearms.

In fact, all firearms manufacturers do; Beretta 92/96, Colt 1991A1, etc.

Are you going to boycott those too? Or are you an anti-gun liberal?

Everyone seems to be getting a bit.........
overreactive.......
So, I'm going to keep this short, and I won't be making any more responses to this thread, because I don't stoop that low.
Beside the other reasons I won't buy a Stider, (which I will not mention here), it is my opinion that (if it is true, anyway) publicly advertising that the names you give your knives are going to be kept secret is absurd. Okay, you can go ahead and point to other companies, who cares? None of these other companies are saying, We've got a secret, and we're not going to tell you Nya Nya, Nya Nya, Nya Nya. Get my point? If you're selling a product, keeping anything deliberatly mysterious makes me wonder what else is the company keeping secret, unless it's for a good reason, ie. software, recipes, designs, and there is almost always information available as to why the public doesn't have access to this information.
If you want to pick on me, or insult me, go ahead, I'm done with all of this overreactive silliness.

Walking man, if you're bothering to read this;

A better question would be: "Why do you need to know so badly?"

And the rest of your post is BS verbal vomit. Strider knives puts out a fantastic product, with tons of real-world use stories from their customers, NOT them, to back it up.

What more do you need to know?

People always ask what the initials stand for, probably have been since Mick started making the things. He chose to tell people that it is personal, and left it at that. He's not "publicly advertising" anything.

Why can you not respect that?

Okay, thread hijack. This nonsense has been beaten to death tooooo many times.

Walking Man - I think your sig line

"Two knives and a Coke is better than Yuppie bottle water and a can of caviar."

Needs explanation. Which knives are we talking about here?

Also, what bottle of water?

Strider Knives - Kool.

Dumb*ss "flames" - Not Kool.

Just goes to prove the already Weird just get weirder.

Mike - love the "waki". Thanks, bro:D

Greg Walker

PS: Does ANYONE know what "WD40" stands for???

Gollnick (or maybe Gollok), [I don't remember], the guy with the Physics master's degree said that WD stands for Water Dispersant, meaning that it's very good for dispersing water (duh), that is, getting it out of tight areas, like a knife pivot. As for the 40? I don't know.

40 because it's the 40th attempt at success.

There are some very bitter people in these forums.

Reading this thread and the other one by these bozos, are good reminders of why the Strider forum disappeared. However, in the absence of the strider hole, now this garbage litters the other forums. Hey spark why not ban them all, strider and his doppelganger? Oh but then we'd all miss the entertainment, just like the Jerry Springer show.

You mean the Strider-bashers? I know, they are a worthless bunch.

You must obviously be reading a different thread. The only ones I see behaving poorly are those who are bashing Strider.

Sheesh! here I put brownshoe on Ignore, and you gotta go and quote him! And you know as well as I do what his opinions are worth! :D

And what the brown on his shoe is. :barf:

Walking Man,

your last post here is misinformed. Strider Knives does not use the fact that they like to keep their model name sake's private as an advertising gimmick. If it was posted on their website, "The names of our knoives are linked to utra cool secrets, wouldn't you liek to know! Nya Nya nya nya nya!!!", then your claim would be right. However, the only time I have seen Mick or Duane mention that the name sakes of their blades are to be kept private is when people ask what the letters mean.

Big difference between the two practices. One is a marketing gimmick, the other is about respect.

You know, for some reason, I have a feeling he won't have a clue what that word means...
