What Do the Ladies Carry?

My wifes all time favorite EDC is a blue handled BM 940. an older companion of hers is the Blackie Collins Buddy System she talked me out of a couple of years ago, and it hasn't come off her keychain yet. It's certainly not the best made knife in our household, but is sure it right up there among the handiest! When jogging she sometimes borrows my TOPS Scalpel (which she has affectionately dubbed "The Shank") Most well loved among these is the BM 940. She seems to feel that it compliments her 1911 quite well.:D

My wife (of 4 months) inherited my Spyderco Michael Walker LW when I got my almite version. I've been thinking of getting her one of her own knives, not a hand me down....but I'm not sure what he'd like. I think she's still not sure what she thinks of my knife collecting...she'll come around though I'm sure.

My wife always carries a CF Ladybug, & a pink Criicket, and usually a SAK. She uses a pink Delica or a G-10 Harpy for the garden.

She has her choice of 6 or 8 customs, a ton of Spyderco's, two Microteck Splash L-UDT's, a Runt, several SAK's and assorted others.

She has very nice collection. She enjoys the Blade show almost as much as I do.

I wanna be the first lady to speak for myself here! Today, it's a large Timberline Wortac. I like the small CRKT Kasper Professional and eagerly await the big one. I like the Native for jogging. I'll be checking out custom versions of my favorites at Blade Show West.

OK Here goes... In my purse is a CKRT Wasp, a Benchmade 720, and a Chive. On my keychain are 2 POS knives. On my desk at work is my newest dagger (14" high-contrast damascus blade), and a neat selenite blade. In the van are various daggers, and even some swords nothing concealed.....owning a knife store has its advantages.

Most of the women customers like small nonserrated blades. Blue handles are nice. They all have fallen in love with the Chive! But you know what the ladies buy more than anything else in the store...SWORDS! (Guys...Be afraid..be Very afraid!...then again maybe it is just envy.)

:D

My wife carries her Gerber AR3.00 and her Spyderco Cricket with her everyday. Usually they stay in her purse until needed, but sometimes the Cricket finds itself clipped to the front of her bra! (lucky knife!:p ) She has also added a new, blue Spyderco Delica as well as a pink Delica to her rotation.

My girlfriend only carries a Leatherman Micra, although I have been trying to get her to carry something alittle bigger. I have showed her a few of my spydercos and benchmades, but no luck yet. However, the Meerkat looks promising...

My wife has her own collection as she is as much a knife knut as I.

But there are 3 she rotates the most being a LEO for the City of Reno, Nevada she carries a Emerson(1998 version) Wave on her uniform, and then when off duty she alternates between a low serial number Microtech LCC D/A, and a Allen Elishewitz #3/10 Nexus Custom.

Like I said she has many others but these are her favorites.

Oh, and I almost forgot she always has her Leatherman Micra on her.

She also wanted me to mention that she is currently waiting for her CI-21 Mike Sitton/TAD collaboration custom D/A which will be added to her daily rotation(couldn't afford one for myself as I recently got a Larry Chew Covert Sptifire D/A and Tom Mayo TNT).

Does get expensive at times with both of us being knife knuts, BUT I would not have it any other way, and feel VERY lucky she has my same hobby. Guess that is one of the many reasons we married 17 years ago.

My wife carries a CRKT serrated KFF and a Leatherman Micra every day. When she's in the mountains with me, she carries one of many slipjoints.

My wife started with TWO SAKs: a Vic Classic with a red LED, and a Wenger Esquire. Then last week for her birthday she got a Vic Tinker. She loves her new knife (knew knife?) so much I've caught her sleeping with it. (pockets in her sleep shorts) Strange thing is, I've got a CAMO Tinker that I ordered a couple of weeks ago but it arrived the day after my wife's B-day. Apparently God had enough of a sense of humor to keep me from getting mine first!

My wife has the Leatherman Micra. She really likes those scissors. She is not much of a knife person, but seems to always ask to borrow mine.

She also likes her Photon Micro-Light. (Though, I did just fix the motion-detector lights on the house above her car so she uses the Photon somewhat less often lately!)

Regards,

David

I haven't dated a girl in a long time that carries a knife:( All the current prospects are scared of knives:(

However, my dad and I converted my mother over to our side:D She carries a Spyderco Mouse every day along with her Spyderco police necklace, and she is starting her own little collection. She's also getting quite a nice collection of fixed blades for the kitchen, she seems to be quite a fan of John Greco as well as Spyderco.

My wife (married for seven years, known her for elleven) ususally carries a LM Micra I gave her some time ago.
I can't get her to carry a "real" knife, but she asks to use mine all the time!;)

Take care
Bo
