What do we call ourselves?

Is there a 'politically correct' term for an "armed citizen"?

:) ha ha ha :D ha ha ha  ha ha ha :p

Politically correct?
How 'bout.....

I am a "pointologist" who is interested in the field
of "pointology-the collecting of knives." At least, that
is what I tell my friends. :) :)

To all of you sharp, pointy thing obssessed bastids, I'm a knife nut.
But, to the rest of the world, it's "knife afficianado" thank you very much.:p

There is a rumor that some of the members are "gay blades", not that theres anything wrong with that.:barf:

Away from this forum I call myself an "art knife collector" (if the topic comes up). Inside this forum we can call ourselves anything we want - we know who we are! Knife knuts, cutlery crazies, blade bastids, etc.

(Took part in a "pro-firearms" rally last weekend. Organized, in part, by a group called "Canadian Gun Nutz". Guess how much POSITIVE media coverage a name like that generates? )

I was wondering how to refer to those who share our particular hobby (obsession?). I always thought "knife nut" or "knife collector" to be a little lame. I picture a knife collector as someone who buys high-end custom knives and puts them away in a glass case, just to look at and occasionally fondle. For me, 99% of my knives are used to do everyday chores, whether the current EDC is a $35 CRKT or a $200 Microtech. Does that make me a "knife user"? How about a "cutlery enthusiast"?

Any suggestions?

Broke most of the time!tom.LOL.

I wonder if anyone still makes "Ballock" or "Bollock" knives?

Very popular in the middle-ages I believe.
