This little baby caught my eye on a makers site the other day, I just wondered what you all thought ?

Its a 3" blade, 1/4" thick and 7" overall.....made of 5160 !

Reminds me of the bow huntin' buddy Livesay used to put out.

looks like a good skinner, but for an all purpose blade...?

It is classed as a Skinner actually but I always think of a true Skinner having an upswept blade !
Will I get one? I don't know Fonly, I keep saying NO MORE and then I see another !!!:D

Mineral-mountain hatchet works !

They make some pretty good looking stuff. (I've wanted one of there Khukuris for awhile)

That does look like a Skinner pattern similar to a Buck Mini-Alpha Hunter pattern. I have one and it makes a pretty good all arounder. It also helped make quick work of a Buck Mule Deer we got last year.

I like that blade design. That's a skinner allright, albeit without an upsweep(((:D)))

What's the price?

Pretty much everything Ted makes is 1/4" 5160. He knows what he likes and that is it.

It is better suited to big choppers than small utility knives:

The black handled one is 8", the other is 12".

Wow, that fella has some really nice looking designs on his site. Very interesting looking knives! If you are interested in only 5160, you might send him an email to check though Pitdog, if you haven't already. His FAQ says he uses 1095 in his small blades, and from the size of his other items, I'd say he considers this small. Personally, I think 1095 is better suited to that knife anyhow.

Me likes the Farm and Ranch and Mini Starlight...:D
