What do yall load your strop with

I have a $5 scrap of leather from the local leatherworking shop that I load with a bit of "Flexcut Gold". It puts a mirror shine on the edge if that is what you are looking for.
 
Green buffing compound from Home Depot.

Would a belt blank from Tandy Leather do you for a strop? There's a Tandy shop in Raleigh and Tandy's usually have scraps on the cheap.
 
Good looking out, ther is a outfitter in raleigh that I go to periodically. Next time I go up I will have to drop in to Tandy. Thanks, Chris
