What do y'all think of my meager but well loved traditional knife collection

Going well there Tyler.
What about one of those giant window display saks?the one that all the blades move open and shut ?
Thats something I've always wanted:)

The Klein is a great knife, I forget who makes them for Klein, but they're just as good as the old ones. Also I'm glad you're keeping yourself smart financially!

My rule of thumb is one knife a month unless I get a bonus or work a good amount of overtime then I might indulge a bit

With some book reading, some forum searches, and some very patient auction searching you will be able to find something very nice around the price of your GEC barlow... possibly less.

Not bad at all that be pretty cool right now I been looking for a older 1940 sailor knife made by Camilus with the Marlin spike that was issued to troop during the Second World War

Seems like you are trying to spend you money wisely and most importantly , putting something in savings. You can pick up a lot of older Camillus knives of many differant patterns for very reasonable prices. The older Bucks are also good knives , but I have never looked at their prices. You are young and have a lot of time to make a plan on where you want to go with your collection and when to get it done financially. I would hope that you would not rush into it. Do pay attention to the size of knives you buy for Hand Fit though . I prefer to have a handle longer than the width across my knuckles. Good luck Tyler and have fun and there will always be a bigger collection out there somewhere.

I just want to make sure I use the knifes I have is all if I don't get used a gift or sell it. I still got plenty of time I just try and find knifes that make me happy

So far, it looks very nice. Concentrate on quality, not quantity. I will second the suggestion of a Queen #9 stockman. With it's D2 steel, it's one of the really good ones out there.

That my focus for now but there are certain pattern I want like a nightbrite gec bullnose for my work knife as I almost lost my trapper in the attic of a clients house just luck I had my flashlight or I would have lost the thing

I second the recommendations for an Opinel. Sharp, great steel, and the things are very friendly on your wallet. Also, try a Rough Rider stockman so you can decide whether you like the pattern or not. Who knows how long it'll be before Northwoods/GEC does another run of them? In any case, when it comes to stockmen, Case and Buck are hard to beat.

Looks like you have all your bases covered! Love the GEC H10, I need to get another one as I foolishly let the one I had go.

Yup definitely look into Rough Riders, great way to try patterns out, and a great knife for the price.

I'd just like to second the people who called for a stockman. It seems you want a large frame with carbon blades. While the Queen #9 is a wonderful knife (in D2, that knife should last forever), I think the increased length of the Case #75 stockman might suit you better. I've had one in my LFP almost every day this year already, and even on the days when I give it a day off it's never far away. Still working on a nice natural patina. It's in amber jigged bone which I have grown to love both in look and feel, but there are others out there like that celebrated Case chestnut bone.

I'd also suggest looking into a Case #18 or Queen #26 to see just how well you might like handling and using a medium stockman pattern, or perhaps some of the whittlers out there if you need a lighter duty blade to supplement the master. The Northwoods Williamette whittler or Case seahorse whittler could fit the bill nicely, and they are by no means tiny knives.

Thanks for sharing your collection and good luck in finding your next one!

The wood Cocobolo are now available on one of GECs distributors. I don't know if they are an approved member on BF, so i will not name them.
I'm sure someone would take the Bone H10 SS off your hands.
