What do y'all think of the Hell Razor

Awesome. I have adopted one as my latest field knife... I usually prefer a tad heavier, but the HR has not let me down yet, and the light weight makes it pretty quick!

That stripped 'Razor rocks.

But to answer the thread question, my HR is my first Busse, and I love it.
best all round knife I have owned.

Great steel and the HR gives you lots of options for different grips.

I can't say that I don't want a bigger badder Busse for chopping, but for a general all round knife, the 'Razor slices, dices, chops and can be persuaded to shave (sorta).

And I love the aesthtics of it.

I'm very glad I got mine.

Now I just need an SH, a BM and some for the safe.
(in my dreams!)

I find it quite interesting that the Hell Razor is still listed for sale.. Figured it would be closed out by now.

Mine came in the mail today. Desert tan crinkle finish with magnum tan scales. It's not a Mud Razor, but I guess it'll do.
:D

Hey Jerry,

Ever thought of having a sort of pitted surface like that as an option? I might be the exception but I really like it. I'm guessing it wouldn't take much time compared to satin or DC.

it would be to prone to rusting. the they arent ground smooth like they are with satin is because the coating fills them in, and as its warn off the coating generally would still be filling the pits.

it would be prone to rusting, in that you couldnt easily get the rust out of the pits by hand sanding.

I agree it would be more prone to rust but I'm not convinced it would necessarily be a problem.

from a companies stand point, making a product that is prone to rust because of the finish is a problem. (given a lifetime warrantee (unconditional outside of modification))

i dont know if its a big enough problem for busse combat, but i've never seen them put out ablade that had an unfinished infi surface before. any time there is open steel, it is ground flat, so i assume that it's standard procedure to avoid pitting when possible.

while i agree that it probably isnt to difficult to sand it off by hand, im not sure that busse would do it on anything but a custom order, if that.

on the hellrazor shown the pitting doesnt look to bad, but on the pub defender i took the coating off of the pitting was deep enough that i couldnt get sand paper into the holes. i would have no practical way of taking the rust off should it have formed (i left the coating in the holes since it was to difficult to take them out without grinding the entire flat down to get rid of them)
