What do you carry in your pockets?

I don't like to have things in my pockets at all, but I like gear and I like to be well prepared, so I have a "bag of evil" with me wherever I go.

There are a few things that I find I must have in my pockets, especially if it's a hassle to carry my bag into where ever I'm going, so I've pared it down to a minimum of must have items. It varies a bit depending on where I'm going.

The only things I carry in my back pockets are flat pieces of paper, or sometimes a small spiral notepad. I won't carry anything bulky in my back pockets because I don't want to fall on anything that will hurt me, I don't like to sit on stuff that may irritate my sciatic nerves, and I don't like to put anything within easy reach of a pick-pocket.

LFP has my cellphone, and sometimes a minimal wallet from Maxpedition.

RFP has my Spyderco Endura, comb, Fisher bullet space pen, Sypderco Cricket that I use as a money clip.

If I'm going somewhere where my Endura isn't welcome, I may carry an Alpha Innovations "kubaton" instead, or a Fenix LD20 flashlight. If I can't carry the Endura and still might need a knife or tool, I carry a Victorinox Tinker, which is my version of a gentleman's pocket folder.

Now, on my keyring, I carry:

Photon micro light.
Uncle Bill's tweezers.
Swiss-Tech Utili-key
Victorinox Mini-Champ with the scales pulled off (has a much thinner profile that way)
Alpha Innovations aluminum whistle (not as effective as a Fox 40 but much smaller profile).
And sometimes I attach my "kubaton" to an s-biner to give it legitimacy as a "key fob".
And, of course, keys.

Having this stuff on a keyring allows me to have it on me without loading down my pockets.

My BOE has a lot of cool stuff that I'm very proud of (such as first aid stuff) and, as I said, it goes with me everywhere, to satisfy that need for gear without the discomfort that comes from bulging pockets. I can always leave the bag in the car and go with what's on my person if I have to.
 
I've got these two clipped to my keychain, which is on me at all times.
They see a lot of use and come in handy in all sorts of situations.

Back Left: bandana

I can’t wear a belt any longer so everything goes in the pockets of my jeans. I EDC all the following items every place I go.

Front left pocket
Leatherman wave
Swedish fire steel scout with striker
Large Bic lighter
2 Chlorine Dioxide tablets and a 1qt emergency water bag in a small Altoids tin
Doug Ritter MK 1 clipped to the pocket
Following items are on a keychain that is clipped to the pocket
10 Aleve tablets in an Aluminum capsule and a small amount of cotton in the lid
Cotton balls soaked in Vaseline in an Aluminum capsule (don’t remember how many cotton balls)
Rescue howler whistle

Front right pocket
Tube of Vaseline lip balm
Finger nail clippers
Small Bic lighter
Leatherman Micra (I just think it’s cool)
Izula 2

Watch pocket
Fat wood in a small Altoids tin

Left back pocket
Cell phone

Right back pocket
Keys on a key chain with a larger pill capsule full of Vaseline soaked cotton balls

Wow! I never realized how much stuff I carry in my pockets.:eek: Good thing I wear suspenders.:D

Intresting variety of responses. Here's mine:

RFP: Large Sebenza (clipped)
LFP: Fenix LD10 (clipped) and keys
RBP: Handkerchief
LBP: Nothing usually (reserved)
Inside Jacket Pockets: Money clip and BlackBerry

And my Izula is around my neck.
 
iPhone 4, keys with small flashlight+flash drive+SAK Classic SD, chap stick, wallet, Izula II, either my Spyderco Pacific Salt or my CS Recon 1 tanto.

I'm looking into getting a Leatherman, a good flashlight, and a peanut lighter.
