What Do You Carry While Celebrating This Time of Year ?

They make the kid's toys so hard to get out of the packaging these days, I have to carry a fixed blade.

I will probably carry whatever happens to be in my pocket. As mentioned above, the red plastic Vic handles or red alox are kind of christmasey. I do have a red handled fixed blade, but it's too large to carry except in the woods as far as I'm concerned.

Cannabis is lawful in this state. Currently on "Cheap weed Wednesday" an ounce of prime bud (not shake) runs $35 plus tax -- which we don't pay because we have an Oregon Medical Marijuana Card.

I've never thought of knives as a "seasonal item."
We just opened our first dispensaries and I just got back from Colorado.

I'll be carrying my Dokka at the family gathering this year. It isn't Christmassy but it's handsome in its dark sheath - dare I say even "gentlemanly"? We are out in the sticks and typically go for long walks in the woods, so it will be nice to take it along. Besides, most of my gifts this year will be blades of one type or another. I don't want to be the only one without a knife to play with.

probably be the Vic Workchamp this year for Christmas.
That's a great SAK ! ! ! ! !
I've had one in my save for later list for months.
I have so many SAKs as it is though; I haven't been able to rationalize getting it but I'll think of something. ;) :D

The thing about the Workchamp is that it's big and heavy. After having mine for awhile, my advice is to get one of you are willing to carry it in a belt pouch. Otherwise, skip it.

I usually bring a Victorinox Super Tinker to Chritmas. A lot of kid's toys have battery covers with screws, and scissors are always handy. Will still stick with my Code 4 as well. Ive carried it more than any other knife tgis year.

The last couple of years I’ve been carrying a Spyderco GB1 and Chaparral during the holidays. Felt they made a good team.

This year I finally had to admit that I like the GB2 a little better than the GB1. And as much as I’ve tried to like the Chaparral, it’s not for me.

This year I will see if I can get away with carrying an Isham Blackstar solo, although I’m sure there will be a larger blade somewhere nearby.;)

I don't try to match my knives to what I wear or the season. Their tools I carry what I think will do the job best or what I feel like carrying that day.

There are a select few knives that I’ll grab because of what I’m wearing. For instance my Lionsteel Shuffler sporting bocote covers tends to land in my pocket whenever I’m wearing a blue shirt. Why? I don’t exactly know, but it’s my reigning “Blue Shirt Knife”. Hell, even I know it’s weird, but I still do it, haha.

My “Blue Shirt Knife”.

I carry what I normally would anyway ... a CRK or Himderer XM-18 3.5" and a SAK Alox Farmer ...

but for certain cases I switch and carry a CRK Small 21 Insingo ... to some of the family's homes or get togethers where some might think my regular carry is too much ...

I will add this is the only time of the year I care if what I carry bothers anyone ... but no need to cause an issue with family and friends with kids around ... most don't care but there are a couple that it seems to make uncomfortable so I adjust.
