What do you carry with your multi?

I normally carry my Vic Spirit alone, but I sometimes supplement it with a dedicated cutter - either a Spyderco Native or lately, a Bark River Mini Canadian in a hip pocket sheath.

My key ring has a SAK Classic and a Garrity LED light. I usually also have a small 3"X4" notebook and telescoping Zebra pen.

I have a loop of para cord witha BSA Hot Spark and carbon steel hacksaw blade striker that I have attached to the lanyard ring on my Charge (or Wave if I carry that one). I also always have a AMK Pocket Survival Kit in my pants or jacket pocket.

I carry a leatherman charge tti, a streamlight stinger on belt too, and a folder in my pocket ususally a smaller knife like a buck bantam etc..

Today I have a Swiss Tool Spirit and a CyberTool 41, a SAK Mini Champ, Buck 309, and one of those small LED pinch lites.

I EDC a Micrca as I don't have a need for anything larger in my daily routine. I do Keep a Wave in my Fatboy but for pocket carry, this is usually it. The little fixed blade rides on my belt.

I carry a Leatherman Blast and a Case Peanut. I carry the Blast as a "just in case" tool. You never know when you might need a saw, or screwdrivers, or a pair of pliers. However, for my cutting chores I use the Peanut. I know most like bigger knives, but my razor sharp Peanut has handled everything I've thrown at it. I work outdoors, and am constantly in need of cutting something. The Peanut is all I need.

In addition to a wallet, comb, bandanna, etc., I have been carrying these items lately. At times, I carry a different LED flashlight, lockback knife, and multitool.

There are several of these mini pry bars sold in US stores for $2 to $4. The one shown is a USA-made Estwing, which I modified by cutting off one end, rounding off the corners, then drilling a hole.

There are similar pry bars sold under the Vaughan and Stanley names, though the current Stanley version may be Chinese-made.

I placed a soft plastic nipple over the sharp end (not shown) so it would not stab me when carried in a pocket.

Here is a "before" and "after" photo:

its a cats claw. For prying nails up or other things with heads on them and prying things apart. Its just a smaller version of a full sized and usually a full sized cats claw has a bent part on the back for more leverage.

Edit: I didnt see the picture above, i just saw the post before mine. The one on the left has the bent part i was talking about. I think he cut it off and put a hole in it to make it a keychain version.

I Googled " key chain pry bar" and found this guy:

His name is Peter Atwood and he makes several cool prying tools:

Most are S30V. They're hand made and pricey but real cool:

I'm gonna try to make one similar to his designs. I'll probably use D-2 though as I have some available and I am able to heat treat it in my shop. By the way, here's the link. http://www.phlaunt.com/atwoodknives/bio.php

Looks like a " Must Have" to me. Perhaps this is worthy of a new thread?

My apologies if this is old news. I'm new here. This forum is so informative and I'm afraid I've been re-bitten buy the "Perfect Tool Bug".

Teach me Knife People!

I carry my keys on a key ring on a caribaner, and then have my Vic SAK on the carabiner also, on the little key ring they have on them. Then i have a swiss tech mini plier thing that i attack to the keyring on my keys. That way i have pliers and a SAK, which happens to be a super tinker. Works well, actually while i was BMX'ing today i needed to adjust my cable detangler and used the pliers in place of a 10mm wrench. Worked fine.

Sorry but again, now this is more interesting, this little pry bar on the pic, can you give me the brand and where to get it.

Thanks Tango44

I found mine at Ace Hardware in my town. Sorry, there isn't a brand name stamped anywhere (I peeled the labels off).

They matte grey finish. I just cut the one in the pic and driled a hole in it. Here's a few others I did later. I flame anodized and cord wrapped them. They are very handy to keep from busting off a knife tip.

LM Surge with the big 21-pc bit kit and several different T-shank blades, "tactical" black first-aid gloves, CRKT Crawford Kasper folder, disposable lighter, a mini Sharpie, a Swiss-tech Utili-Key, ArcAAA Premium, and a Fenix P1D-CE.

The last 2 weeks I`ve been edcing a Leatherman Squirt and a Jetbeam C-Le single AA flashlight. They both get used on a daily basis.
