what do you carry?

Each thread has a reason, this is for knifemakers carry knives, why not respect the original intent...it had merit. This forum is littered with edc threads, mostly for bragging rights, that's not the reason here. We all know who carries what among collectors from a host of other threads.

Brownshoe is right. I started this thread because I was interested in what knifemakers carried.
Thanks for your input guys.

Since it evidently is a BIG DEAL (at least for you and brownshoe) that Jon and I missed that you were only asking knifemakers "what you carry", I would suggest that you make your thread titles more specific in the future
to reduce risk of mis-posts.
For example, perhaps "what do knifemaker's carry?", as opposed to "what do you carry?"

So mr jones, you don't take the time to read the first post, but somehow it's paknives fault? Lorien uses an expletive when politely reminded of the thread's intent. You guys are a "piece of work." No wonder there are knifemakers who have ceased posting on this forum.... You're like preadolescent boys in the school lunchroom.

I'm very busy, but still try to support the knife forums and knife community as much as possible, but as a result, I am guilty of scanning posts too fast at times and here I missed a word.
This is my second time apologizing for my Horrible Mistake. I not blaming paknives but obviously if 2 posters out of the first 9 were collectors then paknives could have possibly made his intentions for his thread more clear, so I gave him a suggestion.

I'm like a preadolescent boy in a lunch room? Why was it even your place to call out Jon and my mistakes? I believe everyone else in including paknives recognized we made mistakes and moved on.
The reason you called our mistakes out is that you are without a doubt one of the most negative persons on this entire forum.
You thrive on negativity and look for any chance to introduce it into a thread.

The last time a thread like this was here, Cliff Parker and I both said we don't carry our own knives because we can't afford to and have to spend all our time making knives for customers. We were raked across the coals by another maker and called "pathetic". Stuff like that has run off more makers than anything... I thought it was funny myself. :D

Alright, I'll answer this one. I'm a psychologist in the day time, and a knifemaker at night. Because of where I work, I'm not supposed to carry a knife at all. I compromise by carrying a keychain Swiss Army Knife, that I seriously bought for $.50 at a garage sale. It's my true "every day" carry. When I get to carry what I want, I have a little Benchmade and a few older factory slipjoints, mostly Schrade. I also carry the first slipjoint I made sometimes. I'm like Don mentioned. If I have one that's sellable, I'm selling it, not carrying it. I keep the scrubs and carry knives I can afford.

Sounds like a real nice guy. .......

Don your edc is a bit familiar. I'll soon be carrying one of your sons beautiful pieces as soon as mr long is finished.

It came out perfect. I couldn't have asked for more.

Hey buddy, I want to see that 'Sunday go to meetin' knife at the next knife show.

Diskin flipper most of the time. When a fixed is appropriate something from myself, Adam Desrosiers or a damascus Hurak.

Bragging rights? More like promotion and joy of ownership and wanting to share what makes me happy. I personally 'litter' the forum with many EDC threads because people tend to change their lineup quite often and one of the more interesting parts of the forums for me is seeing what guys carry.

The forum is for sharing. If not why post at all, let alone be a member. That said yes I do have a strong interest in seeing what makers carry. Oh, and yeah guilty- for not reading the first post and just going off the title.

Edit to add, YES I do like to show off if I like the knife.
