Retired Master Sergeant, US Army. Started out in the Infantry and worked my way up, did all the cool stuff soldiers do, traveled to lots of different countries on Uncle Sam's dime. Met a couple of knifemakers in Turkey, family had been making knives for over 500 years in the same village.....spent some time with them, moved to Germany, spent some time with some other makers. Retired in 94 when the Army started interfering with my knifemakin, did that till 9/11 then nearly went bankrupt, Iraq 04-06, been making knives since 82, now working on the North Slope (oilfield) tool room job, 3wks on 3 wks off. Packing up and getting ready to leave Alaska.
