What would you all do if you knew of like 5 people- HOGS, who had a knife you wanted, but they wouldn't part with it?

I'm just asking for some suggestions, as I have no idea what to do. Thanks:p

Be patient... Really, Really patient!!!

All good things come to those who wait... ;)

:D ...Unless it's a 1 of 13 KCSS NMFBMLE :foot: BTW... That's 1 of 12 mint, AFAIK.

About two years ago I finally got a knife that I had known where it was and chased for roughly 7 years.

I have a keen understanding of this situation.

Keep communication open, stay in touch with the people with the knife you are seeking.

Keep funds available and be willing to pay top Dollar.

Be willing to take a "Package Deal" to get the one you are looking for.

It took me 7 years of keeping in touch and a willingness to buy a Package deal to get a Hood Knife By Busse Combat Knife Co.

Edited to add a photo for a bit, the knife I wanted and eventually got is the third one down from the top.

Numbered limited edition, number 18 out of five produced.
This group of knives is the package deal I got in order to get the one I wanted.

One knife out of five produced as a Factory Production knife that never got into full production.

Look at the Handle, you will likely never in life actually see or hold one of these.

I saw this knife in 2000 and chased it till 2007.

I knew that it existed and who had it, I missed the first sale, but stayed in touch with the 2nd owner untill he decided to sell.

Endure, wait and pay attention.

i saw a knife in 2003, ordered one in 2006, and will hopefully be getting it in 2009. either way - if your looking for the knife as a user and not for the history or rarity, you might consider ordering one from the custom shop. it might take you the same amount of time to get ahold of it, but you can be sure that it will get to you eventually :)

Now that is a patient man...

Ain't THAT the truth! :eek::thumbup:

I chased one to Europe & back... 2 years.
I lusted after another (and wasn't even aware of this second one) for 3 years until it quite literally dropped into my lap...

...But 7 YEARS??? Good God, man!! That there is the very definition of patience!! :D:thumbup::thumbup:

7 years!! I feel irrational now, dying of impatience because of a week on waiting for a knife to ship to me!

I get pissed off if I have to wait 2 months. LOL

Of course, I've yet to chase a "rare of rare" knife.

Get them drunk.
Beg.
Try to steal them.
Don't worry, you'll get your Busse(s)! :)

Stalk them and bribe them with drinks.
Once they start feeling sorry for you, attack.

I still have "Dibs" on the top SHBM! I've got two years behind me now..................

:D

I've got two years on one I'm currently "stalking". :)

Well if you already have one or more ......You stop worrying about it;):D

You gotta kind of approach it like a African Plains Safarai. You have tags for many species. It becomes more .... timing and opportunity.

Sometimes you just gotta take what your given til the one your really after shows up.

I mean you wouldnt go and not shoot anything just because you didnt see your Kudu Bull.
