"What Do You Do When Hogs Won't Sell You a Knife?"

At least you know where the knives are. I'm looking for the EU Uncle MoFo, and don't even have any leads yet on who to stalk. :D

It took me three years to snatch the Chicago Recurve Badger.

Thanks, Paul!

I agree with balislinger, the best way, if money is no object to these guys, is to find something they really want and trade for it.

Three words: Do the Lotto

Seriously though good luck to any Grail hunters out there. I just don't have that patience yet.

Aaron

Money and patience will work every time ;)

I reckon the chase is the fun bit anyway :D

I wanted this particular knife for the History and the Secrets and Hush Hush that surounded the production, the back story.

I asked Jerry to make me one and was turned down flat.

I have seen pictures of a stack of un-finished blanks, I used to know how many blanks there were, but that is in my notes and not in my Brain at this time(Those brain cells have fallen Victim to the war on Alcohol)

I have owned several Hood Variants, even my Wife owned a Hood knife Variant at one point.

And Yes, Tim has been asking for and about the #350 Presentation Grade one of three hundred SHBM for the last two years on a pretty regular Basis.

He want's it to fill in a gap in a set that I helped to fill another gap in a couple years before that.
(Behind the scenes trades do seem to happen from time to time)

By the way, Thank's Tim for the Nick, My Wife likes it and uses it.

well, I can kinda understand it with that particular knife. there's at least one other non-infi blade that I know of that would probably receive the same answer. a "not open for discussion" model that is non-soul related.

Practice up on your negoitiating skills:D

I havent been turned down .......since.....I can't remember;):D

Be patient... Really, Really patient!!!

All good things come to those who wait... ;)

:D ...Unless it's a 1 of 13 KCSS NMFBMLE :foot: BTW... That's 1 of 12 mint, AFAIK.

Hmm. Darn good advice.

Of course, we're probably talking years here ... :o

Ain't THAT the truth! :eek::thumbup:

I chased one to Europe & back... 2 years.
I lusted after another (and wasn't even aware of this second one) for 3 years until it quite literally dropped into my lap...

...But 7 YEARS??? Good God, man!! That there is the very definition of patience!! :D:thumbup::thumbup:

It ain't knives ... but someday we can talk about a ... let's call it "capability" ... that took me 22 years to arrange.

There's "patient," and then there's "PATIENT.":)

What would you all do if you knew of like 5 people- HOGS, who had a knife you wanted, but they wouldn't part with it?

I'm just asking for some suggestions, as I have no idea what to do. Thanks:p

I call them ......................

SMART:)

It's just like hunting,,,,,,, slow stalk,,,,,patience .....watching ,,, waiting ,,,,,,,prepared with the right supplies (money, creditcard, blades they're interested in) ..... then get them plastered an pop a gr8 deal, too good to pass on. You'll probably overpay,,,,but after the hunt , you'll have your trophy !!!!!!!!! Hell,,,,,, money is only cloth fibre an ink.....INFI is 4eva!!!!!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

If this doesn't work,,,,,you change your *supplies* to a Weatherby .300 Magnum ...... the hunt is primarily the same,,,,,lmao ....... just kidding :D :D

bottom line,,,,,patients is the key,,,,,,,good things come to those who wait.
