You work on your website.

Two weeks ago I had surgery to repair an unhealed broken right collar bone. If you’re into gory details, check out this YouTube video of the type of surgery I had (go to the 4:30 minute mark to where the cutting begins).

I had been putting this off until after the Blade Show and my testing for ABS Journeyman Smith. I originally broke my collarbone last October when I was clipped by a vehicle while on a bike ride. That’s what I suspect what happen, because I was knocked out when I fell and no one stopped that saw what happened. A neighbor did stop after I came too and helped me to get home. So long story short, the bone never completed bonded at the break point. I was able to do some hammering this spring but if I did not have access to a power hammer I would never been able to get my knives make for Blade.

So now with a lot of time on my hands I decided to rework my website. Ken Hall Knives Hopefully it looks a little more professional.

Regards,
Ken

Looks pretty good Ken. Congrats on passing the ABS test!

I did notice a couple spelling errors. The most glaring is "gallary" instead of gallery on your tabs on the top.

The two pics on your home page look pixelated too. Other than that I'm glad you found something to fill your time.

As for me, I buy tools to make knives when I can't make knives. Since I never seem to get time for making knives I have lots of tools....

That is a stinking awesome video! I love seeing powertools used. It kinda reminds me of threading a buttcap to a tang :)

But it also looks painful, so I wish you a speedy recovery.

Brian, Thanks for catching those errors. I've updated the pictures so hopfully they look better.

Jason, Being a do it yourselfer, I like to know what is going on. It was cool finding the video. The doctore said that the bolt will come out after everything is healed. So maybe I can used it as part of a knife in some way.

I installed a head board for a bed on one of those motorized beds for the pastor of a church I went to. One of the hardware bags with the bed had all these SS screws in it. They were a very coarse thread and seemed ou of place. After investigating it was determined they came from his wifes new knee
They now hold the metal frame to the wooden head board!
Make something fun with it!
