I've seen a few pictures of flasks and wineskins on various subforums, and was wondering, what do you guys drink from? mine is a Pewter hipflask from Royal Selangor:

It's usually got Irish Whiskey in it, but at the moment it has a brilliant australian Rum. (not bundaburg :barf:)

what about you guys?

My only flask is a cheap bacardi logo one I got free with a half-gallon back in college. It's not great, but it suits my needs. I've been looking at flasks like yours (same brand) and it's on my wish list for things I want but don't really need. Mine is usually filled with irish Whiskey or scotch. Theres nothing I love better than some tea with scotch and lemon juice after a long day in the cold, throw a cinnimon stick and some cloves in there, and its the best.

Contrary to all "internet" advice, I keep a pop-top plastic water bottle in the fridge; had the same one for several years.
I prefer a thick china mug for my coffee, and I always drink my beer from a glass. (it's my German heritage)
When I'm in the squad car with a "go-cup" of service-station coffee, I always poke a bigger hole in the vent side so it actually pours out. Gotta use my "tactical" knife for something.

How about "nosing glasses" or a "Glencarin (sp?)" glass? I've been trying to find one myself for some nice Glenlivet Nadura I bought. It just seems wrong to use a wine glass or high ball.

This is the one thing I am serious about. I can and have used a shovel for a frying pan, a carved stick to eat with, banana leaves for plates but I insist on the proper glassware for my booze.

Beer is best out of a stein ( or a boot with friends...lol), whiskey (I like a splash and an ice cube) in a old fashion glass, vodka in a frozen ice shot glass, and my favorite relaxing drink in the glass made for it...

Nalgene makes a decent flask for a day or two in the woods. It holds 12oz and is pretty inexpensive. I would like one of the Snow Peak Ti flasks but I just can't justify spending that much money on one.

I have a couple of the Glencairn glasses and I like them a lot. I bought mine from that famous auction site.

In my opinion, glass or ceramic is the only way to go.
I might even make an exception for a gold or silver goblet, and maybe even a coconut shell if I were stranded on an island....but never plastic!

I drink my water out of the plastic bottle that I buy it in.:D.

Depends really - on where I am, and what I drink!
If your talking on the trail:
-canteen, flask
If your talking at home:
-on bf: mug, glass....jar?!

(I'll try to dig up/take a picture with my flask in it)
