you get knife number 3.:) i took an old file that was in the garage shaped it in to a blade on my top of the line harbor freight belt sander.made a handle out of some bamboo we had.filled both ends of the bamboo with 2 part epoxy for strenght.pined in the blade with a stainless steel pin.an here it is.the whole thing is 7 and 1/2 in.blade is just under 3 and 1/2.the rest is all handle.i had a lot of fun making it and i think this one is a keeper.the matching bamboo sheath has a strike bezel cut in to it for fun.thanks for looking. clint.

Good job bud !! I like file knives an make a lot of em

That is way cool. The blade lines are very appealing to the eye. The texture keeps it real, way to go!

Nice work clink! very interesting. From the pictures your grind lines look crisp. especially if they were made using that p.o.s. harbor freight makes. the blade shape reminds me of the cuda designed by Robert Terzuola. here is a picture

thanks for the comments guys.i thought some of you might get a laugh out of a harbor freight belt sander/grinder being top notch.haha.it will have to do untill i can move up to a better one from sears.then some day if im lucky a bur king.i am hoping that with some hard work that i will be able to make some nice hand made peices that i could trade with fellow members here for some of your creations.i think it would be awsome to have some blades made by you guys.but like i said i have some hard work ahead of me before i have the skills to make knives like you guys.thanks for the encouragement. clint.

i worked on it off and on over 2 weekends.i also forgot to post up a pic of the sheath.this is the strike bezel.
