I got my first Rat knife (RC-3) for Christmas. I love the knife. My parents got it for me, per my request. I am not sure where they ordered it from but am a little suspicous about what I received. I do not want to tell you about what all came with the knife because I want to see what you are supposed to receive. I will say the knife and everything I received, I believe are genuine products. The box the knife came in though had a made in china stamp on it and looked to be a very old box. I am pretty sure some stuff is missing. I wonder if the company the knife was purchased from is taking some stuff out and selling it on the side. Can someone tell me everything I should have received with the knife. Pics would be awesome if you have them. Thanks in advance.

Do you know where your parents ordered it from. The box with the 'Made In China' stamp sounds VERY wonky to me :confused:. But as long as the knife looks like this you should be okay. I don't have a pic of everything that came with the knife but this is what you are looking for. Provided they ordered one with the MOLLE back.

Can you post a picture of what you received ? your parents may have put it in that box being RC knives do not come in a box.RC knife,sheath w/ or w/o molleback,hardware,molle clips,business card all contained in a ziplock type bag, I believe?

RC-3P and RC-3S part #s include coyote brown molded sheathing, boot clip, MOLLE locks, paracord and cord lock (no MOLLE back). RC-3P-MB and RC-3S-MB include coyote brown molded sheathing, boot clip, Cordura MOLLE back, paracord and cord lock. If the knife you are buying does not have the -MB after it's part number (regardless of color), then you will not get a MOLLE back. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify configuration with their dealer before ordering. All configurations are packaged in a plastic bag with sheath instruction sheet and RAT Cutlery survival business card.
 
Like the other guys said, can you provide a list/picture of what you received? I just got my first RAT (the RC-3) for a knife show last weekend. Mine came in a plastic bag, not a box. I got the knife, a sheath (didn't get the MOLLE back), belt/boot clip, paracord tie for belt/pack carry, MOLLE locks with hardware, business card, sheath instruction guide, and a card giving survival tips.
 
Could also be the company that shipped it put it in a box to protect it. Some companies do that, and use whatever box it fits in. I've had that happen before: open a package, start getting hot under the collar that they shipped the wrong thing, and then find it's what I ordered in another box.
 
I'm very curious about this. +1 for posting more info on what you got.
 
The pictures in the posted link look identical to the way I recieved my RC-3. It all looks legit to me. The box must just be the way the vendor shipped it.
 
I am going to attempt to load pics for the first time ever. Deal with me if I screw up.
 
Ok! The pic above is everything that came with my knife it even includes the box. The gift was wrapped the way it came in the mail. It did not arrive packaged like the others you guys have posted. Like I have said the knife is awesome I just think something went missing. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks again for your replies.
 
Looks like you have everthing to me. The Molle back isnt there, but did you get that option??

I thought I would be getting the boot clip and the molle back. After reading through the replies again I realized I missed a couple (long day of work). Not sure where the knife was ordered from so I will have to assume they were not included. Either way, very happy with the knife. I will try to order the molle back and boot clip later if I decide I need them.

Looks like the genuine deal. Usually they are in a plastic bag, but you got what what you were supposed to.
