What do you guys know about...

Redundant.:D

NO ONE is far from a bad area in PR. Millionaires live in mansions 1/4 mile from some of the roughest neighborhoods around.

True!

Puerto Rico makes some fine women. As a matter of fact I married one. :)

As for the free trip, just relax and enjoy the honeymoon.

Oh damn....me too, I told her "if" we get a divorce...I'm going back and getting another one! :D

Puerto Rico?

My fiance and I have been offered a 5 day/4 night free stay at the San Juan Mariott beach resort for our honeymoon. Frankly, I'm more of a woods and mountains kind of guy and not so much the carribean islands/beach kind of guy and Puerto Rico has never really quite engaged my interest. I really don't know what all there is to do there, but it's a free trip and I dont have much $ so I guess we might be taking it!

Any of you guys/gal been there?

P.S.- what are the knife laws like there? I'd sure like to take an ESEE or 3 along with me :)

Man..P.R has some real lush jungles, and some of the nicest beaches! Oh...and the woman!!!!!! ;)

It's an absolute beautiful place and the trip is FREE!!! You cannot have a good time in the Caribbean unless your try, and that's tough! Be careful downtown at night, hell even during the day venturing off into the wrong area of town. Go, you'll love it!

They did arrest 99 drug dealers today in a major drug raid so it's that much safer!:D:D

I would say go for it. It is free. I went to Brazil some years ago and had a blast. I know it isn't the same place but my trip was free to.

Thanks so far you guys, please keep the suggestions/experiences coming. I'm pretty excited at this point. All we have to pay for is airfare and food/activities.

I think my future wife will be able to keep me away from the crazy native chicks. I doubt any of them look as good as her ;)

I dont think we'll be renting a car. Most likely walk everywhere, or take a bus or shuttle if they have them (i'll stay away from the cabs).

Our wedding is in June so it's be pretty warm there I'm sure.

My fiance told me not to go crazy and plan too many activities, because she said we probably wont be leaving the hotel room that much anyway ;) (Idk how you put a wink in quotations :p) HEYOO!!

But no, I do want to see some of the cool stuff there too.

There's plenty of lush jungle out there. Lots of wood to chop, and lots of things to roast. You just have to have to have somebody you trust to take you there. You'd better bring a big knife, at least a 5, and a hest with plenty of bribe money stuffed in the handle.
