A few years ago my wife let me buy myself a Pelikan M800 fountain pen, a bit of a "grail" pen for me.

I was considering a Pelikan R600 or R800 rollerball to go along with it, but they're just too much money for me to justify.

This Lamy Swift looks kinda cool.

I'd consider another German RB pen, maybe a Kaweco or Lamy if not too expensive.

I think I also kind like these, take Fisher Space Pen refills.

What do you guys like for RB pens?

I personally only have a Benchmade 1100. I love it for sure. Its more about the cartridges and the fisher refills write fantastic. I'll tell you that "Embassy" pen from the Comm is a heck of a deal at leass than $40. Now that I am a pen snob, I prefer the removeable cap type over the clickie. I am sure that Lamy would be top notch also. Good luck man.

I really like my Rite in the Rain black clicker pen (only $10.95). I also have a really heavy Rotring 600 that I don't like as much for writing, but its handy to have black, red and pencil all in one body.

I have the embassy pen from county comm and love it. Im not a pen collector or anything but I think it kicks ass. Very durable and the fisher space pen cartridges are great.

I have a Pelikan M200 coming in this Wednesday.

I do have the Swift and it's a cool pen. I like heavy pens and it's heavy alright.

A Pelikan M800 is also part of my collection and I love it. :o

Rollers are not my major interest when it comes to pens. Fountain pens take the cake for me.

My favorite non-fountain pens are some by Porsche Design. http://www.fountainpenhospital.com/Index_showcase.asp
Mainly this one.

Let me check. The printing on the barrel has worn away, but the cap has Papermate molded into it. Wait a minute, I've still got a few more in the box. Yeah, FlexGrip Elite (medium). ;)

I have a bad habit of not returning my pen to my pocket so I carry 2 black Sharpies in regular and fine point.

Michaels Fatboy Silencer pens are great for me. On the less expensive side, I love the Uni Ball Jet Stream. It is actually my favorite writing pen due to the ink. I wish they made these in refill form for Parker style pens.

The County Comm pen is a great feeling pen. I gave mine to a buddy, but if there was a place to screw the cap on, I would still have it. Great weight and size.

Also, keep in mind that any pen that takes a Parker style refill will work with the Fischer refill as they come with a Parker adapter now.

I am really liking my TI Embassy pen. I didn't like them at first, due to the cap don't screw on the pen when using it. But I have come to find that it is now a handy feature because as long as I keep the cap I will not give my pen away or loose the pen.

Pilot G2's are the only pen I ever carrying around with me. They aren't metallic and heavy, so one goes in my right front pocket, right next to the seam of my pants, and disappears until I need it. They also write smoothly, and put out enough ink that I never have to write over something that didn't come out. And there's usually a Sharpie in my coat.

Whatever retractable item the department keeps in the supply cabinet. I've lost/given away more pens than you can shake a stick at while policing; the idea of spending money for a "nice" pen is somewhat alien.
As well, the first big word I ever learned was "atrocious". That was a grade-school teacher describing my handwriting. It hasn't improved noticeably since...
Thank be to whatever deity you worship (Bill Gates?) for the word processor.
