(( do not link to live eBay auctions ))

Mods removed the link so just type "paramilitary 2 Custom Red Digital Scales" in ebay search

He has two listings going.. more than 20 for sale at $99 each and advertising as New/unopened but then further in the listing says "no box included". Noticed the other items hes selling are mostly pokemon cards and airsoft stuff and he already has two counterfeit complaints in his feedback for other items. So I'm thinking it's obviously some kid...

Maybe I'm wrong but... Just a warning to anyone here watching that. What do you guys think?

Hard to tell. But based on what you've listed it's not someone I would buy from.

I'm no expert but I think posting those links here might be against some or other rule.

On the subject, though, I will never buy a knife on ebay.
Again, that is.
Why risk it, when you can get better deals from stand-up knife knuts here?

They look pretty authentic to me. The ricasso is usually a give away, but it looks legit on those. However, I personally wouldn't risk it.

Those look like "factory" scales but I've never seen them produced in red digicam before...

I think the pictures might be of a real RIT dyed PM2 but probably sending out fake ones. Not even dealers (that I know of) sell them new at $99

Me neither, but I thought it was only if you are trying to promote the sale of something, which I am definitely not.

The only way to tell involves having them in hand. I would lurk on the exchange and score one there when it pops up - you'll likely spend just about the same and also be confident you're getting the genuine article.

The pictures are taken in such a way it is hard to tell. There is not a perfect shot of the jimping to tell if it is angled. There is not a perfect shot of the cut out for the lock to tell if it is smooth. There are no shots to see if the lock side liner is milled. These things make me suspicious. I have seen these dyed like this by members here but never resold on the bay like that. Combine all this with the fact that he has at least 20 available? Who buys 20 legit PM2s, dyes the scales and resells them for little to no profit?

No way would I buy one. Sort of surprised the links haven't been removed yet.

RIT dye wouldn't color them like that. RIT dye reacts to each color and makes what red and brown / green would combine. Not red. If that makes any sence

Yup, not true. We have members who have done this exact thing with their camo PM2.
