What do you guys think of the Spyderco Centofante III?

Had one. Traded it.

While they look pretty...they are fairly light-duty. Not a bad thing for a gentlemens knife...I just like my knives more robust.

They are also slippery to me...

They have a single liner, which is something that I didn;t care for. If it were me, I would have chose 2 liners or none. It's a beautiful knife though. I really do not think it needed liners at all.
The thin blade is perfect for delicate jobs, great slicer. I love the hollow grind on it too. Has just the right amount of belly on it.

Oh, well I'm ok with a lighter duty knife because I'm going to EDC it. It'll be my first Spyderco!!

I have it in my rotation, for days when I'm on the road.
Love the blade shape and length, its super light weight and slices like a razor.
For edc its a keeper, on weekends, I pack the bigger stuff :p

Wicked sharp knife and so light I carry it in my shirt pocket sometimes. Has a super nice feel w/o the clip, but picks up pocket lint. You can choke up on it for very exacting cuts too.

Is anybody selling.....?

They were for sale everywhere - at least 6 months ago. I got mine with free shipping from Amazon.

If you're asking one of us, I'm keeping mine. I spent a out an hour getting that pointed tip above the hole rounded off and looking more presentable.

Pointy headed little ugly duckling. Must have been one of the Captain's pets. :D

I like it a lot. Its thin blades makes it one of the best slicing Spydercos. And indeed it is very pretty. If your cutting needs are in general somewhat lighter, then definitely I would prefer it over a workhorse Delica at the price.

I've read the comments about this being a "light duty" knife. I'd be curious what normal folding-knife tasks it's not up to.

Super light, super slicer, but I'd put at least as much confidence in it as a Stretch 2 or a Spyderco Salt.

I've got the Centofante 4, which has the same handle, and between the texture of the handle and the groves, I never found it particularly "slippery".

Battoning through hardwood stumps? Hacking through PVC pipes? Seriously, most people will never exceed the capabilities of this knife in "every day" tasks and those who do are really looking for a heavy duty work knife, even if they do carry it every day. ;)
