What do you guys use on your pivots?

Agree. The lubricity doesn't last long, either. I don't even use it for door hinges anymore, but instead use my remaining Rem Oil for those.

wd-40 is more of a protectant than a lubricant (though it does lubricate). the WD stands for water-displacing.

I use either breakfree clp or Tuff-glide. I find break-free to be slicker, but doesn't seem to last as long. Tuff-glide isn't that great until the next day when the spirits have evaporated, but then you have a dry lube, which is great because it doesn't keep the dirt and debris.

I'd be interested to try the CRK stuff, will probably add some to my next order.

A very good dry lube is Otis Special Forces Dry Lube. The liquid carrier penetrates deeply, dries in 20-30 seconds, then leaves a lasting dry lube behind. I've used it on several knives and a M1911 pistol and it works great. Dry lube has the added benefit that it won't "leak" onto your clothes and doesn't attract dust/dirt.
