YES, I think annual fire, shelter, camping, arrow-launching, body-shaving contests would be a great idea. Record the winners in a sticky of glory/shame.
 
it's been long enough, the majority of the crowd here these days missed those, so I don't see a problem revisiting them.
 
Speaking of old contests, there were a couple from the BK 5 release gathering that were pretty good.
 
Aright, we will let Biscuits current contest of contests finish up and we will get some ideas from that, and then go from there. So go pester him you hooligans!

I'd like to see, again, the one too see who can start fires in as many ways as they can cone up with. Not just using a bic lighter to light different tinder.

Welcome back, Derek. I like the idea of revisiting old contests. I agree with others - prizes don't have to be big. Even just some BK&T swag would be cool.
 
Maybe a contest to see who can make the best instructional post? Stuff related to knives or the wilderness. Sharpening, fire starting or building, first aid, orienteering, bush cooking, DIY gear or whatever you can think of. It seems like we all like the outdoors and we all like to learn. Or we could just pic one category and see who can make the most informational post about it. We could all learn a lot.
 
Yeah I joined after most of the contests had died down, so I'm down for redoing them. Agreed on the prizes too, I'll stab/cut/carve/burn something for a sticker haha.
 
How about a traveling trophy?
Winner keeps it until the next contest then has to send it to the new winner.
Complete with bragging rights, trophy .
