That's a surprise - My regular Box Elder (pictured above) is much, much lighter and more yellowish. Must be the burl that makes the difference. Very nice, though!

All this talk about Mnandis make me drool.....for me its like many others have said. Its timeless. Really it could fall into the traditional knives category except it is not a slipjoint. It simply reminds me of a traditional slipjoint with class.
