What Do You Look For in a Large Knife?

I have long wanted a Becker BK7 in stainless. Now they make one (BK77) with S30 steel for the low, low price of ~$250 depending on where you look. For that price I think I might rather have a custom knife. Haven't checked custom prices for a long while though.

I am thinking of getting a regular BK7 first to see how I like the ergonomics.
