What do you love?

The ocean!!

I absolutely love to sit on the decks at night and watch the dark star filled sky. To see virtually every star in the sky is the most awesomest thing I can think of. Unless you've actually seen/experienced what I'm talking about, you'll know it's very hard to explain what it is that I love.

I completely agree. The only time I have experienced this was on a boat ride on the Amazon River. You could actually see the stars rising and setting as the earth turned. I seriously laid there on the front of the boat for about 3-4 hours just trying to take it all in. Amazing. There are not words. I can't wait until I can see the stars like that again somehow.

Mountains, storms, the ocean, the woods, being in any of those settings with my wife and kids, seeing my kids smile and laugh, a good song, good coffee, the sound of a great guitar, sunrises and sunsets, knives, good steak, dessert...

My wife and kids, the feeling when I connect to what the sermon is about at church, carbon steel knives, coffee, bacon, ribs, potato salad, time spent with my father flyfishing grass (bamboo) rods on any trout streams, Movies; Tombstone and The River Runs Through It, campfire, nice curves on a woman, I love any manufacturer of blades where the owner/designer connect with its consumers (Iz Turley, Ethan Becker, and the Toooj), fire did I mention that yet, the drive home from work, and last but not least when I walk in the back door and my kids look at me like I'm the smartest, strongest, best man in the world.......... and runon sentences, actually I hate improper grammer and punctuation but hey I'm posting from an iPhone, and that would be alot of work to edit my thoughts on this darn thing.

Laying in my hammock with my son, talking about the wind in the trees and the critters walking through our campsite.

My family, knives and guns, also like Moose, I love sitting in a storm.
I love being somewhere that feels old, and untouched, like unspoiled country or old architecture that's been abandoned.
I love the satisfaction I get when I tear something apart and put it back together again.
Love a fire and food hot off of a fire.
Stargazing, and walking in the dark with just the moon and the stars to light my way and no city noise to disturb me.
There is a lot more that I love but I will leave it alone for now..lol

That sounds like that would be a pretty awesome time also :)

If I didn't want to get eaten alive by flying things and other whatnots I'd prolly go do that some day.

Exploring the outdoors with my daughters, the feel of my wife's hands on my shoulders, the sounds and smells of a nice campfire as the sun sets.

Theres a long list of others too, but these come to my head first.

Brother Derek does have a gift......

A walk in the woods.....The smell of bacon and woodsmoke.....Watching a campfire and listening to my campanions .....Starry nights in the wild....Watching my most wonderful woman sleep and then seeing her joy in SEEING nature......Using a good blade and the ACT of building a fire with it's help.....Being with good friends and making new ones.......You all certainly......Watching my son be a man.....Guns and flowers.......Building stuff......

Shooting pool. Throwing snakes at people. My wife's smile. Tickling the grandbabies. Heading out on a new river or trail early in the morning. Picking out new gear. Finding something cool you haven't seen in a long time in the bottom of a box. Dynamite. Laughing around a campfire. Putting a load of fours in a scumbag's ass that's stealing stuff you worked yours off to get. Life in gereral.

Shootin' the shit with my fellow Beckerheads, knives, fishing, camping, the smell of the woods, especially after a rain. I love the winter time, and the more the snow, the better. Love sitting around a camp fire, and the smell it leaves on my clothes. Going on road trips with my awesome wife. Love talking with her, love her good damn cooking too. Damn that woman can cook. She's Sicilian, and uses her grandmother's recipes from Sicily, so lots of Italian food around here. Love solitude sometimes. Love to tinker, and mod stuff. Love my one and only son. That kid's my shining pride. I'm ready to kill if someone even looks at him cross eyed. Love gadgets, and MP3 and MP4 players. Love music and movies....

Good beer. Walking up or down dry creek beds. Fires with or without friends or family. Bringing a dull knife to life. Mushroom hunting. This time of year.

and

Mongol General: Hao! Dai ye! We won again! This is good, but what is best in life?
Mongol: The open steppe, fleet horse, falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair.
Mongol General: Wrong! Conan! What is best in life?
Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
Mongol General: That is good! That is good.

mmm

so many things

I love siiting by the fire with some meat cooking and looking up at the bright winter night sky. Also my wife and kids and of course God and country.

On the theme of rain hitting one's fingers, I love when it's lightly raining, and I can stick my hand out the window and feel the water hitting my hand, and yet the breeze as I drive evaporates it fast enough that when I pull my hand inside, it's dry. It's like having your cake and eating it too.

Also, my wife, and the look on her face when she unboxes her newest sharp object. Been married since June, hope to say the same thing 70 years from now.
