What do you prefer bait or Lures?

Freshwater. The majority of my fishing is done with lures, but I do enjoy using nightcrawlers as well if I fish some place new.
 
oh, definitely lures in both salt and fresh...there is nothing more satisfying to me in fishing when i catch a fish because it bit on a piece of colored metal...i'll do bait when i absolutely need to catch something to eat (usually a camping situation)...when you got to eat anything goes...
 
Saltwater - I catch live bait with my castnet and use pinfish, ballyhoo, grunts and chubs to catch, snook, redfish, tarpon, cobia and sharks. I always have one rod rigged with a artifical lure to cast to passing gamefish.
