Holy smoke, can you imagine the dealer price on this POS? must be a $1.25 if its a dime.

"Cast metal..." no doubt.

Looks pretty "Tactical" too! What a bargain. I think I'm converted from these lousy MicroTech, Pro-Tech an Chris Reeve pieces o' junk. I've been shown the light!

Unless I miss my guess, that is grade A-1 genuine Rosta-Frei herbal heat-treated stainless!!!! It’s da best, mon! It will dispatch any manner of shark, gator, or funnel cake effortlessly and keep a razor edge! And it’s cambat ready for anytime you might just flip out and kill things!!!! A little pricey @ $3.65 but I’m sure you can score one for much less on E-Bay!

i don't know how ANYONE can produce a knife for that amount of money? Even if it is the lowest crap pot "steel" on earth, and the handle is made of recycled tampon applicators the price is just too low to be true? Maybe it's a typo?

For a $5 knife it cant be anything but cheap **** steel!

Edited to add:

After some diggining and searching I was able to find out the type of stainless this knife is made from: ChepshatSv29.5

440C is actually a pretty decent knifemaking steel. It's not cheap either. A piece large enough to make that knife would be around $12-15, purchased from Admiral Steel.

There is a huge difference between 440A/B and 440C.

The "A" series are low performance and very easy to stamp and machine. The "C" series dulls belts/tools quickly and is harder to machine.

Guess which sounds more appealing to the manufacturer?

"Pot steel" (by Gollnick) is the closest guess so far. It's not that hard to make steel that is stainless. Takes more work to get it to hold an edge.

Are these the guys that used to be "Blade Realm" in Tucson a few years ago.Online stuff with a storefront that was a poor flea market. Run by Apu and friends from the Simpsons I recall. Dreck goods! :barf:

Nope, I don't think this is the same company. If I am not mistaken, bladeuniverse2.com is the company that used to be known as Blade Realm.

Wow, to think I could have seventy-five of these fine knives instead of just one Sebbie!

p.s. ....just kidding
