It is a good knife?

where do you carry it? on your keychain or your pocket?

It holds the beat of being carried on the keychain? or its goingo to be all scratche up, i'm waiting my to arrive, but i'm a little afraid of put it on my keychain.

I carry my Orange Ladybug on the key chain. Not that many scratches, most comes from cutting boxes.
It is nice little knife.

They're nicely made little knives. They combine a Ladybug style blade with a larger Spyderhole in a Jester style handle. Those changes make them easier to open than the original Ladybug and allow better control when using them.

That said, I still prefer the Jester, the forward finger rest on its blade really does come in handy and provides an even greater degree of control. A twin of the one pictured above has been keeping my keys company for going on six years.

Like Deacon said, the larger opening hole makes a difference when opening the knife. Any keychain knife will get scratched, particularly if you get the SS-bodied version, but the LBK 3 will stand up to it no problem. Don't be afraid of having some character marks on there. :)

I’ve had one on my keys since I got one this Christmas. I gotta admit with the other knives I carry it doesn’t get a lot of use but its nice to know its there.

I switch between a SS ladybug and a orange FRN. The SS looks more abused than the FRN but who cares.... Its a keychain knife. Also... No the FRN will not get dented.

thx, i will try one
:)

its just a little expensive, at lighthound a ladybug costs almost the same of a dragonfly.

the frn's great, orange is my favorite color. I love mine, I have a lanyard on it and it rides deep in my pocket almost every day

yep, i'm thinking of have it on a lanyard and throw in my pocket, and when i need it on my keychain i use a s-biner.

thx for the replys, and what about the FRN, it will get dented?

You can dent anything, but FRN quite durable material.

Lighthound is a great place to buy lights, but not so sure about knives. Their prices are quite high in my opinion. I would recommend Tom Berry, he member of this forum and authorized Spyderco dealer. Prices are good, service is great.
He still has couple Orange in stock, along with white, black and purple.

The Ladybug 3 is the best keychain knife I have had. Easy to open one handed and sharp VG 10 steel. Enjoy it on your keychain and knowing that you will always have a knife at hand when you need it. Kevin :D

While I have the luxury to choose from an quite large collection, the Ladybug is always with me.

A very capable little bugger...

You can´t find a better knife in this size.

and what about the blade thickness, its only about 2mm, it will hold heavy duty or more light jobs?

Not really considered "discontinued"..for it was only a sprint run to begin with.
Hang in there, ive seen plenty go on this site and ebay, keep an eye out youll get one no prob

Probably depends on what you consider "heavy duty" for a key chain knife. Best I can tell you is that I've carried a Jester which is the same size and thicknessr for nearly six years without damaging it.

Why did they discontinue the orange handle Ladybug? :(
It was a Sprint Run, not regular production. Wasn't that long ago, they show up on eBay pretty regular and you also might still be able to find some regular dealers with one in stock.
