Hello dear friends,

Today i managed to put together a new pocket clip design and before moving it into production i really need some real user opinions that will help me decide if it is a Go or No Go - thank you all in advance for taking your time to help!

The clip itself is meant to be as minimalistic as possible and also have a 'new look' design. The 'real' advantage is that it's angle related to the tang is very easily adjustable by only loosening one screw and then tighten it again.
The 'body' is made of solid brass while the clip bar will be stainless steel and titanium.

What do you think of it - Go or No Go?

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan

I'm not sure if it's just me but the video shows it's private. Maybe check the youtube settings.

Being stupid sometimes is part of being me - thank you very much my dear friend - hope that now it works :)

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan

It's nice and very original, Bogdan. I'd put it further back though - other than that, I feel "Go" !
Thank you very much my dear brother! It's current position is absolutely random as that was a good spot where i could drill a hole in that wrecked Ti scale :D

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan

And a big thank you all that answered, your feedback is extremely important and will be reflected in the final product version ;)

All the best brothers, God bless,
Bogdan

Bogdan I love your work but I gotta say that looks really uncomfortable, have you tried out using a folder hard with that attached? Clips are generally low and flat so they don't dig into the hand & distribute the pressure over a wider area

I’m sorry to say…that would be a deal breaker for me. I’m with fishface, it looks like it would be super uncomfortable for hard use with a tight grip. :(

I tend to agree with this sentiment. To me it looks like it would easily snag on anything you brush past and either bend the clip out of shape and/or involuntarily pull out the knife.

I like it, except I would prefer a curl or loop at the the end of the wire clip.

Adding a feature like this👆 would probably mitigate my concerns.

A loop or "spoon" at the tip would be a great addition. I do like the minimalist nature of the design and the overall look is nice as well. I would like to try one out to see how it feels, perhaps make the brass top portion with three holes that match the Spyderco and some Benchmade clip holes so people can try out your new clip style.

Looks like. It would work well but as others have said it might not feel the best....Time for some trials buddy.....
The mounting part is perfect👌...... The shaft might need some shaping....🤔

Keep up the good work👍👍👍

Hey Bogdan,

What keeps the clip from moving in general use? Single screw clips without some type of tab or insert can work loose and pivot around the screw. Maybe if the hole was octagonal instead of round and slightly inset? It wouldn't be a 360 clip any more but still offer significant choice in placement.

I do think this fits your aesthetic well, and I imagine you are already thinking about different tabs at the top of the clip you would customize to a particular knife.

Best

Hello dear friends,

First of all a BIG thank you all for taking your time to help - all your ideas will be used for sure!

I intend to make a small loop at the tip of the shaft to prevent sticking or grabbing on pants.
B BuckeyeBladeFan - indeed it is only one screw brother but correctly tightened in the Ti scale it proved impossible to move even with heavy abuse but i also thought on that too.

fishface5 fishface5 - the clip has a profile as low as the usual ones brother and being very rounded makes it virtually 'invisible' to the hand no matter how tight you grab the knife the only thing is the tip that sticks but ill work on a loop for that.

Maybe ill only offer these on request and stick to some classic stainless steel or Ti ;)

All the best friends, God bless,
Bogdan
