Jegermester good!

Hey, great picture Eddtide.
Thats one of the pictures that made look closer at the brakar and jegermester. I like the look of the Jegermester, but there was just something about that handle on the brakar, Oh and the harding was another nice one aswell.
Ohh here we go again, Now I gotta go look'em and rethink :D

What have you guys done :D

I read a great review of the helle symfoni as a hunting kife in F & S. I have been looking at the helle eggen as a hunter. I don't know if these knives are a stout as other knives, but my bet is they could do almost anything we would expect a small blade to do. I think you could carry one of these knives in thier leather sheaths and not get odd sheeple looks. I really have been searching for a good "4 or under fixed blade for hiking, camping etc in southern california, this might fit the bill nicely...plus they seem to be a good value for the $$$...let me know what you think.

Oh ya, Sure you cant pry and chop with them, but thats not the point of a knife ;)
They make fabulous cutters, and is going to make a perfect belt knife for me, and probably for you too. The main reason I want it is because I am constantly carving, whittling and skinning game, so the length and grind of the blade is going to work pefectly for me.

First time I drank Jaegermeister, I woke up in a damn ambulance.

Oh wait, that's an entirely different thing isn't it...

If you want to find out how good Helle knives are, please review a test done and published in the November Field and Stream Magazine. A $60 Helle was "Best of Test" and one of the knives was a $190 knife. They are the sharpest knife and hold an edge better than any knife I ever saw. Just compare them to other brands by cleaning 5 wild hogs. That convinced me, now my other knives stay home.
