Interesting shape - both the handle and the blade. Looks great though, from this angle $150 is a steal for that knife.

I said I would like the handle of the machete that is the topic of this thread with that blade. It's a better chopping shape. The belly at the end of the Condor Golok is better for slashing, but with such a thick blade, it's not a slashing tool.

I think the Condor Golok slashes well enough thanks to the distal taper. Not only does that thin the blade out at the tip, but the resultant mass distrobution combines with the curved handle to generate quite decent tip velocity.

I dig it, but it's still thick for that shape. A dedicated chopper doesn't necessarily need that slashing capability.

Having said that, I own a Condor Golok and love it.
