Well to start this is my first post on here. So I have been looking on here at post and stuff for a few weeks and I decided to make my first quality purchase. I stumbled apon this site by googling for suggestions on nice knives since I got tired of my "awesome" 15$ farmers market knives falling apart and having immense blade wiggle. So I started a google conquest to find something awesome with no knowledge of knives outside of kitchen knives that cost in the 4 digits. So I google and I youtube for idk 2 weeks now and I found nutnfancy jdavis and xiuxiu13? Calls himself carter. And got from what I believe to be 2 great purchases for my fianc� and me.

I bought myself a spyderco paramilitary 2 satin blade digi camo handles and for my fianc� a spyderco cat g10.
What do you guys think of my new purchases?
 
Well, since these would be gateway knives I say you did a great job. You can not go wrong with a Paramilitary 2 and Spyderco makes great knives overall. The digi cam handles just look good. Glad you joined the forum and have been introduced to more quality knives. You can still get quality Kershaws and Spydercos under $40 is best part. That price range was what my gateway knives were in until I moved up to higher end Spydercos, Benchmades, and now Microtechs. You did great picking knives, now it is time to add to your collection.
 
You did very well! Spyderco is one of the best production knife companies (unique designs, excellent QC, stellar collaborations, many steel variations) and the PM2 has been their hottest seller for quite a while now. Welcome to the addiction, and a warning to you... Everyone on this site is an enabler for the addiction. :D

We're not all BUY MORE KNIVES enablers, and there is no addiction MORE KNIVES, MUST HAVE MORE KNIVES to worry about. Enjoy your fine Spyderco products, I'm sure they'll be the last FIRST OF MANY you'll ever need.
 
When you received them, your enjoyment will last about a day. Then you will be back on the forum, searching for your next knife, so you can rotate the two. And then you will need a third so you don't wear the first two out.....and then, we gotcha :)

PS: I'm going to implant a subtle message in your subconscious: Sebenza, Sebenza, Sebenza.....
 
Welome. Just remember, the only lucky knife people are the ones that are happy with a basic knife that cuts everything that needs cutting. The rset of us spend our kids inheritance trying to get the next perfect blade. In all seriousness, it's a great hobby if you don't overspend..

Welcome to BF, you started off with some good knives. Do yourself a favor and get a Spyderco Tenacious and an Ontario RAT 1. I think most will agree these are A+ knives in their price range. (and arguably beyond...) You should find some lower price knives like these to see what quality you can get for such an affordable price.

Congrats! I started out buying a Spyderco Dragonfly and Tenacious. That was 2 years ago. Now my kids have my spydercos and I've got these... Be warned...

Just don't come on these forums when you've been drinking, or if you do, put your credit card in a jar of water, and in the freezer. I can't tell you how many times I've ordered blades after marinating a few ice cubes.

Those guys are pretty good. Of course, some folks have other favorites.
The PM2 is my all-time best model. The compression lock is just plain fun to operate.

I think I heard someone say sebenza. Also when your knives arrive I think we will needs some pics to make sure you're really one of us.

I think I could work out taking a few pictures of them. I don't have a camera but I think my iPhone would take a decent enough picture to be able to post for you guys.
