What do you think of the pocket knifes from eBay?

This is what I am looking at? Are they any good or just very cheap?

Sorry. Can't link to a live auction. I replaced the link with a description.

Definitely worth $2, maybe $3. TacForce are mostly fashion knives for Tweeners. But they can serve a purpose of getting kids interested in knives and experience different styles very inexpensively.

I would've wanted one when I was 10.

What's the model number? As others said they're cheap but decent enough for light duty and that's all. I have a collection of Tac Forces, Mtechs, Master USA, Survivor, etc. If you do a search on the model no you'll probably find it cheaper.

Is it this one?

I don't have a lot to spend. What's a good knife for the money? I want something good for work but not big as in a bowe knife or something like that but something I can keep on me that does the job.

It's ok but not for heavy duty. You'll need a better knife than this. I got these to play with and admire but I have better knives for duty.

If you want a decent knife that'll work and very sharp there's a Colt CT591 which has a D2 steel and G10 handle for around $15 at some sites. I have one and it's very nice but don't expect it to be a woods knife. It's light weight and handy for pocket carry.

That is one of the last choices I would use at work. I believe that is a switch blade. Correction.... the description says "spring assisted" not automatic. A lot of the stillettos are in fact switch blades. I have a couple.

I would choose something a bit more "normal". Even if it is legal, it still may not be a good choice because it is a very cheap knife, probably cheap steel, and certainly not very strong. As Charlie Mike said, he'd have wanted one when he was 10.

Consider something like the Kabar Dozier Folding Hunter which runs about $20.

I wouldn't take that knife if it were offered to me for free.

I actually have that same Colt, as well as its twin (Boker Gent I in Damascus/ebony). That is a decent inexpensive knife in my opinion. Most of the Colt line are the modern designs of Rough Rider which I think are a fair quality for the prices.

I chuckle about your comment. If someone offered to give me that knife (for free) I would say ....thanks, but why not give it to someone more deserving. ;)

Llama, you say you like Case slip joints, why not choose a slip joint? SAKs are always good in a work environment. The inexpensive slip joints that are pretty good are branded by Rough Rider and Colt.
