I had some 1095 and 440 C gave to me.
What can I use it for?
will it work for knife blade or slip joint spring?

Most definantly it can be used for springs, 1095 is sometimes refered to as a spring steel. 440c could be hardened and tempered to be a stainless spring, Mostly it's used as 2 of the finest and most common blade steels to ever be made. which is why I, Chuck, and I'm sure others who havent posted we're thinking you we're kidding.

I have alot of left over pieces of 440C from the profiling when cutting blanks out with the bandsaw. I use these for making the guards and pommels.
