What do you use for your ecommerce?

Not referring to software or websites and such. I mean hardware.

My laptop is fairly toasted. I've been doing my ecommerce (emails, pm's and discussion) through apps. I use Tapatalk for forum discussion and pm's as well as the Gmail app, all on my android phone. I sometimes use a Kindle Fire with the same apps.

The downsides are that the software isn't as robust as I'd like. Tapatalk can be glitchy and simple things like enormous pics (they are automatically resized for my phone, but not for someone on the other end using a computer) and signatures (can't see them, also can't easily see membership levels) are things that I must stay aware of.

I'm considering buying a new laptop, but I'm also intrigued by other options.

I'd like to hear from anyone that uses a tablet/tablet w/keyboard/chrome book etc.

Thanks guys. My current situation is getting very old, very quickly.

Tapatalk too most of the time. Samsung Galaxy... Then the netbook at home which is networked with my Acer desktop. It has a terrabyte hard drive and some screaming hardware. Was my present to myself at the end of last year. Acer stuff isn't the top shelf primo gear, but fiddled with a little it can be quite impressive. I have a big laptop too networked to it. As is the WiiU so I can get my netflix on... lol.

I used namescheap to buy and register overmountain.us.com and am going to host a more professional site there once the business grows a little. At the moment I am using a Google site and it has been rather easy to use and quite good looking IMO. Not the most feature laden for sure, but not bad.

Getting the new Galaxy next week S5 active. I'm not as big a tech geek as some, I was late to the party. But getting there.

Tapatalk usually irks me once a day at least. But hey, it's better than trying to surf the forums on a browser IMO.

Cheers!

Ah, yeah I use to be a techie, but haven't been for a few years, also known as a lifetime. ;)

I guess my question is what is a good solution that has the ability to (comfortably) run a browser and stuff like Gmail without relying on apps? I like touch screens, and a physical keyboard is a bonus, but at the same time I like apps and ultra portability. Not sure if that even exists. If it does (even if anyone even has an idea on what to look at) I'm all ears.

So. What, if anything, has a fairly robust software package (doesn't have to be windows), but also runs the android os? A keyboard, or the ability to attach one is a plus.

I'm surprised more people aren't doing this.

Why not just get a cheap PC off Ebay for use at home? I have them everywhere.
I hate using my Iphone for internet.

The new Surface 3 tablet is pretty slick but it's up there in the ultrabook price range.

If you absolutely need portable, a 10.6" laptop is much better than android. If you really must have android, install bluestacks on your laptop. Phones/tablets are fun and do lots of things, but they lack in the productivity aspect. You can't easily "print" anything from android. Most solutions involve networking to a shared printer, but bluetootch printers might be possible. However, I have yet to see a "print" button on any android app.

FYI, you can attach a wireless keyboard/mouse to most phones with one of these:
