I'm a little confused as to the use of Scotch-Brite - what does it do that sandpaper/steel wool/buffing can't do?
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

I use all three to finish my blades. I use them because it's fast and gives me a nice clean finish. Plus I like the lines on there.
When you say you use all three do you mean three different color/grits scotch-brite? Or Scorch-Brite in conjunction with steel wool and buffing?
Sorry, I meant all three scotch brights. But the brown one is the best. It smooths out a lot of stuff. I've been through one brown and barely used the other two.
Cool. I've been wanting to try one out. I'll have to track down a brown one. Are the brown ones more aggressive/lower grit than the others?
