What do you use to set the final edge angle?

I just eyeballed my angle on my belt sander. Then honed it as steady as possible on a stone. Is this the best way? Do you use guides to set your final edge angle?

I do everything by hand, eyeballing it. If you practice enough you'll be surprisingly consistent.

Eyeball it on the slack belt.

I like the eyeballing thing. I just dont trust those angle rest thingies! We'll see how well the edge holds up? If my HT doesn't compare to sent out blades then we have a problem Houston.......

Sure will be fun to dull a blade made by me!
