That little piggy is a full convex.

The full convex BJ's are beautiful, the .22's are beasts...I only sold mine due to not being able to thin out a convex edge...got some gear coming in soon that may alleviate that issue...

Great stuff JK! I have not yet...just got in an attachment along with ken onion work sharp for blade shaping...I have yet to use the grinder attachment...practicing on the little unit with some non-busse knives to get the feel of the machine! Got a strider fixed blade shaving sharp in less than 10 minutes.

This is a step before the 1*30 adventure...

I will have to look for more detail on the tricks you mention...most Busse convexes and others I have used have just needed strop'ing and maybe a little ceramic work up to this point to get them going again.

That is a great looking knife!

My bad rough was the wrong description. I should’ve stuck with textured I think I have an ash with that coating.

That's what I was thinking, but I'm not 100% sure.

There was a Gladius pictured a bunch a while back with that coating. May have been on exchange as well. Haven’t seen many/if any others with it. It definitely looks like its more textured than other Busse coatings. Gritty comes to mind. Nice knife.
