We come from many different walks of life. We have many different uses for our knives. What do you use your knife for?

Mostly I cut things with it. Rope, paper, string, plastic, cardboard, food, any form of matter that needs to be seperated.

Yeah, James has summed it up rather succintly: cutting stuff.

Let no one ever from henceforth say one word in any way countenancing war. It is dangerous even to speak of how here and there the individual may gain some hardship of soul by it. For war is hell, and those who institute it are criminals. Siegfried Loraine Sassoon

Mostly cutting on a big chunck of wood when whittling, and all sorts of utility aplications, every now and then I might forget to pack a steak knife with the camping goodies and need to use my folder on a t-bone

Not much.

I mostly carry them in my pockets like Ron, and occasionally find something to cut. Sometimes it's a box with a new knife in it. Sometimes its junk mail. Sometimes I even shave a little patch of arm hair to make sure it hasn't gotten dull from doing nothing. Mostly not much though.

Hello All,

I carry one for utility purposes to cut anything that needs cutting.

I also carry another 1, or 2, or 3.... dedicated to self defence - these are never used for mundane cutting tasks, they are weapons first and foremost

Cutting rope, vinyl tubing, boxes, envelopes, wire stripping, and just to open and close all day long for the heck of it is what I use my knives for now-a-days!

I also like to keep the knife opened up while I'm in a restroom stall, just in case somebody decides they want to bust in while I'm in there, what a surprise they will get!

Mine get used mostly for mundane cutting chores, but I like to know that what I'm carrying can serve well for defense if needed.
