What do you use your spyder edge for?

I recently used a UKPK rescue w/full serrations to do an emergency sump pump repair--cut rubber hose and 1 1/2 pvc pipe. First time I ever used serrated knife out of the kitchen. There are probably some tasks--making very fine cuts in leather, fabric or paper that aren't best accomplished with a SE, but other than that, SE all the way. Sharper for a longer time and very quick cutting.

I have two small Schipperkes who can't handle a whole glazed petrified pig ear each so I cut them in two. Well, let me tell you that a plain edge has trouble finding purchase or grip on their glazed surface and even after breaking the glaze its not easy. The Spyderedge chips and saws right on through.

IBEW electrician : use my SpyderEdge for stripping wire and cable insulation !!

My brother is an electronics technician and he used Serrated blades for many jobs in his area of expertise. I bet it would astound you to know how many professionals and tradesmen could benefit from a high quality serrated edge.

Here is where many people get off track when you talk to them about serrated blades. Most of them have used serrations of one type or the other. But very few people have used premium, professional quality serrated blades like the ones you get from Spyderco and maybe 2 other companies I feel are on the right track. Spyderco is king of the serrated blade at this time. But there are a few companies starting to catch on.

I'm just starting to learn how good serrations can be for outdoor sporting purposes. They are so great for extremely tough and fibrous materials.
