Guys,

Thanks for your inputs to this thread. I do however think that we need to add a literacy qualification to the Suspect tests - how many people have asked for more than ONE knife?

Eric - love the idea of the Emerson Sword - what sort of blade length are you thinking about? Also have you looked at Bel's site - she may have one that meets you short term needs, while we try and convince EKI.....

Regards,

Ed

well a super commander would be cool, and i'm saving for a genuine CQC6 - actually had thought of having ti bolsters, etc put on my BM 975SBT, for a 'faux' CQC6, but i thought it would be better to put that $$ aside and put it towards a REAL CQC6 rather than put $250 or so into a BM, imho - shoot $250 is almost a fifth of the way there lol- i also want a terzuola ATCK or something like that, a neat knife, a bud has one, really nice/well made - does emerson make any customs similar to the BM 975 in blade length (about 4") ???

What am I getting in 2002? I have a Ryan Number One on the way as we speak. :D

What would I like in 2002? I'd like to luck into a Satin CQC8, Chisel ground and as long as I'm "pipe dreaming", we can toss on a wave (but I'd be happy with a CQC8 without a wave too) :D

What production knife would I like to see EKI make, well, the Super Commander is coming . . . Ernie mentioned a Production CQC8 . . . How about I go out on a limb . . . I'd like to see a production defense/offense oriented fixed blade. Maybe a Bodyguard style/size, but if I had my way, I'd want a production Mirage. You get the idea.

John

A waved, production CQC8 would make me happy. If that doesn't happen in 2002, then a Super Commander will do fine.

Clayton, got any pix of the Dawson Katana? If so, e-mail them my way! :)

Ed, ideally I'd like to see an Emerson short sword with an 18"-20" blade length, and another 9" for a handle and a half. The same blade style, grind, and finish of the "Nameless" would be ideal, but with black micarta slabs. Ahhhh, an Emerson Sabre. One can dream....

Ark, you don't carry any of your customs?? Man, I understand how difficult that is to get yourself to do, but just pick ONE, deem it to be your daily carry, and clip it on! I carry my Six weak-side, inside the waistband. It rides more securely there as opposed to being in a pocket where I'd worry about it slipping out and getting lost. My Strider AR rides strong-side IWB and gets used for heavy cutting chores, and my Mini Commander rides strong-side pocket and therefore gets used for typical daily cutting.
So my Six has actually never cut anything at all, and even after many weeks of carry it still looks perfectly new after a minimal shot of compressed air blows the fuzz out of it, followed by a quick wipe down. But the pleasure derived from always having my Six on me is total bliss. Take the plunge, buddy! Carry one of your Emerson Customs! :)
Oh, BTW Ark, I'll be e-mailing you the necessary info today in order to launch the software. It seems that we're finally good to go now. :D

usually suspect to somthing

What I really want in 2002 is just what I am getting from HC Leo, my second CQC6. But this '99 has that wide blade grind with the Vee tip and a double bevel so I can really use & abuse it. May have to part with my mint 2001 zero grind but I gotta hold both in my hands at least for a little while. Hurryup mail!

YOWZA!!!!!:D

Can't wait!!!!

I know you all have heard this a million times.

All together now....A CQC6. An 8 w/sculpted grip is a temptation too.
A Lagriffe. A custom Emerson neck Knife also.

Non-Emerson wants...A TNT. (Because of a stupid dream, can you believe that?). A 154cm blade EDC for a beater.

Non-knife wants... A couple of Photon IIs in white, a Streamlite Stylus 3 in white, One of Erics "Stealth Stylus" (They look effective.)

What the heck, a Ryan custom folder while I am wishing.:D

For 2002 I would like to acquire either a zero beveled CQC7 or CQC9. Throw in a wave on either one and I will be a happy camper for the rest of the year.

Mark

A real production fixed blade. Someting with those cool angular chisel grinds. I love pretty much every design in the current folder lineup, but the PUK was a big disappointment when I saw and handled it. It's just boring, overpriced and doesn't scream "COOL!" like most other Emersons do.
